LONDON (Alliance News) - Asiamet Resources Ltd on Tuesday said its loss widened in the first half of 2018 due to an increase in costs.
The copper-gold deposits developer said its loss widened sharply to USD6.2 million in the six months to June 30 compared to USD2.0 million reported a year earlier after exploration & evaluation costs jumped to USD3.7 million from USD1.4 million.
In the prior year, the company also recognised a USD708,000 gain on sale of its subsidiary.
Asiamet Resources did not report any revenue in either years.
Shares in Asiamet Resources were up 2.0% on Tuesday at 10.10 pence each.
