LONDON (Alliance News) - Building products firm Alumasc Group PLC on Tuesday announced the appointment of Walker Greenbank PLC board member Vijay Thakrar as non-executive director.
Thakrar will join the company with immediate effect.
He is an accountant who is currently a non-executive director at Quorn Foods, Walker Greenbank, and MK Dons Football Club Sports & Education Trust.
Alumasc also Tuesday said current Non-Executive Director Richard Saville has left with immediate effect.
Chair John McCall said: "We are delighted Vijay is joining Alumasc, he will bring considerable knowledge and experience in areas including business strategy, corporate governance and finance to the board."
"The appointment of Vijay and Stephen Beechey, who was appointed on January 1, demonstrates our commitment to ensure the board has the skills and experience to deliver the group's strategy."
"On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Richard for his great commitment and service to the company as a non-executive director and as chair of the audit committee," McCall added.
Shares were 1.3% higher on Tuesday afternoon at 106.90 pence each.
