GreenRoc CEO Kirk Adams leaves immediately for personal reasons

(Alliance News) - GreenRoc Mining PLC on Monday said Chief Executive Officer Kirk Adams has resigned for personal reasons.

Adams had his last day on Friday last week. Non-Executive Director Lars Brunner has taken over the role of CEO while the company seeks to appoint a long-term successor to the post.

GreenRoc is focused on the development of mineral projects in Greenland.

Chair George Frangeskides said: "I would like to thank Kirk for his stewardship of the company since the IPO and to wish him every success in his future endeavours."

GreenRock made its initial public offering on AIM in London back in September, debuting at 10 pence per share. GreenRoc shares were up 2.2% at 7.00p each on Monday morning in London.

GreenRoc is a portfolio company of London-based mineral exploration company Alba Mineral Resources PLC, which holds a 54% majority interest in GreenRoc. Alba shares were down 9.3% at 0.19p on Monday.

UKOG owns an 86% stake in Horse Hill, and is the operator, with a 12% stake held by Alba Mineral Resources PLC. Horse Hill is an oil project near Gatwick Airport in southern England. In May, UKOG won a full production permit for the field.

IN BRIEF: UKOG shares rocket on environment permit win for Horse Hill

UK Oil & Gas PLC - London-based oil and gas company - Wins full production permit for its Horse Hill field from the UK Environment Agency. The project is 86% owned by UKOG, with a 12% stake held by Alba Mineral Resources PLC. The permit enables production and water re-injection operations, incineration of waste gas, maintenance and workovers, and the drilling of further development wells. Horse Hill is an oil project near Gatwick Airport in southern England. UKOG can now proceed with its plants to convert HH-2z into a water injector over the year, which would eliminate the requirement to take saline formation water from remote third-party sites, reducing costs.
