LONDON (Alliance News) - Akers Biosciences Inc Tuesday said it has introduced two new breath tests to the US market.
It claims OxiChekis is the first disposable breath test to rapidly determine levels of oxidative stress (free radicals) in the body, allowing consumers to try and optimise their lifestyles to control the level of free radicals in the body.
KetoChek, meanwhile, is a second generation enhancement of the company's METRON breath ketone test and is, to the company's knowledge, the only disposable breath-based diagnostic device that provides rapid, quantitative assessment of the presence of ketones, to determine if the subject is in the optimal fat-burning state for weight loss, known as ketosis.
The company's shares were down 4.4% at 275.00 pence in London Tuesday morning.
