(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Friday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

Mitchells & Butlers PLC - Birmingham, England-based operator of pubs, bars and restaurants - Rob Robson, Imelda Walsh and Colin Rutherford will retire from the board at the end of July. Robson had joined in 2010 as the representative of largest shareholder Odyzean Group. Walsh and Rutherford both joined in 2013. As a result of the three departures, the board will be reduced to nine members - Non-Executive Chair Bob Ivell, two executive director, three independent non-executive directors, and three non-executive directors representing Odyzean. "The smaller, more agile board is in line with the company's stated intentions at the time of the equity raise and it can now focus on supporting and challenging management over the coming months, as the business first recovers and then moves forward again," Ivell says. The pub chain raised GBP350.5 million in an open offer of new shares back in March to help cope with forced closures due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Scottish American Investment Co PLC - Chair Peter Moon will step down from the board at the AGM in 2022. Non-Executive Director Nick Macpherson will replace Moon when he retires. Macpherson joined the board in 2016, when he also became a non-executive director of British Land Co PLC. He also currently is chair of private bank C Hoare & Co and a member of the House of Lords. He was permanent secretary to the UK Treasury from 2005 to 2016.

AIB Group PLC - Dublin-based bank - Adds CFO Donal Galvin to board as executive director, effective immediately, having joined AIB in March 2019.

Real Estate Investors PLC - UK Midlands-focused real estate investment trust - John Crabtree retires as non-executive chair at Friday's annual general meeting, replaced by William Wyatt, who has been on the board since 2010. Wyatt is chief executive of investment trust Caledonia Investments PLC. Also hires Ian Stringer as independent non-executive director, starting on Friday. Stringer is a chartered surveyor with almost 40 years' experience in the property sector, Real Estate Investors says, including as regional managing director for the Midlands at Grimley & Son and as the firm's non-executive chair.

Westminster Group PLC - Banbury, Oxfordshire-based security and services - Charles Cattaneo will step down as non-executive director at annual general meeting on June 24. Separately, Non-Executive Director Mawuli Ababio is promoted to deputy chair.

Shield Therapeutics PLC - Newcastle, England-based pharmaceutical firm focused on iron deficiency - Hires Greg Madison as chief executive officer, starting on Tuesday next week. Shield says Madison has deep experience in the US iron deficiency marketplace. He joins Shield from Melt Pharmaceuticals Inc, based in Boston, Massachusetts, where he was CEO. Current Shield CEO Tim Watts will step down on Tuesday but remain on the board until September 30 to help with the transition.

Brooks Macdonald Group PLC - London-based investment manager - Caroline Connellan, who had resigned as CEO earlier in May, now has stepped down from the board. Brooks Macdonald promoted Andrew Shepherd to chief executive, effective from the start of July. Shepherd is deputy CEO and CEO of the group's International business, having joined Brooks Macdonald in 2002.

SulNOx Group PLC - London-based hydrocarbon fuel emulsification specialist - Promotes Chief Operating Officer Ben Richardson to CEO, while Non-Executive Chair Tony Granger become chief administration officer and Radu Forescu is promoted to non-executive chair in his place. Nigel Armit departs as part-time chief financial officer ahead of the recruitment of a full-time CFO. "I am delighted to be expanding my remit further," Richardson says. "Since joining in December, the board have taken huge strides forward by gaining world recognised certification for our SulNOxEco conditioner, expanding our sales and distribution network and moving to the Apex segment of the Aquis Stock Exchange."

Tritax Big Box REIT PLC - London-based investor in distribution centres - Susanne Given will step down as non-executive director from September 14, "in order to focus on her other business commitments". A search for a successor is underway.

Baillie Gifford US Growth Trust PLC - Hires Chris van der Kuyl and Rachael Palmer as non-executive directors, starting June 1. Van der Kuyl is co-founder & chair of Minecraft game developer 4J Studios. Palmer leads VC & Startup Partnerships for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region at Google, part of Alphabet Inc.
