Amiad Filtration Sys Expects 2H Trading To Improve

LONDON (Dow Jones)--Amiad Filtration Systems Ltd (AFS.LN), a producer and global supplier of water filters and filtration systems for the industrial, municipal and irrigation markets, announced Thursday it expects that trading in the second half of 2010 will improve. MAIN FACTS: -First half revenues and profits are expected to be below the company's previous expectations. -Amiad now expects to report revenues for the first half of 2010 of $37 million (including $6 million contribution from Arkal) compared with $36.8 million for the first half of 2009 -The Arkal Filtration Systems Cooperative Agricultural Society Ltd acquisition is expected to strengthen total full year revenue. -Shares closed Wednesday at 222.50 pence. -By Zechariah Hemans, Dow Jones Newswires; 44-20-7842-9411; zechariah.hemans@dowjones.com (END) Dow Jones Newswires June 17, 2010 02:50 ET (06:50 GMT)
