(Sharecast News) - Alpha Financial Markets said on Wednesday that the 'put up or shut up' deadline for Bridgepoint to make an offer for the group has been extended as the two parties are still in talks.
"Discussions between Alpha FMC and Bridgepoint remain ongoing," it said in a brief statement.
As a result, the deadline by which Bridgepoint needs to either announce a firm intention to make an offer or walk away has been extended to 1700 BST on 20 June.
"A further announcement will be made when appropriate," the company said, adding that there can be no certainty that any firm offer will be made, nor as to the terms on which any firm offer might be made.
