Evraz PLC - London-based steel maker in Russia - Proposes three new independent non-executive directors, to be approved at June 15 annual general meeting. James Rutherford was non-executive director of miner Anglo American PLC until last year. He remains non-executive chair of gold miner Centamin PLC and senior independent director of natural resources royalties investor Anglo Pacific Group PLC. As an executive, Rutherford was senior vice president of Capital Group, responsible for investments in metals and mining. Stephen Odell retired from Ford Motor Co, where he had been executive vice president of Global Sales, Marketing & Service and prior to that president of Europe, Middle East & Africa. He is chair of AIM-listed timber firm Accsys Technologies PLC. Sandra Stash was executive vice president of Safety, Operations & Engineering and of External Affairs at Tullow Oil PLC until last year. She is an independent non-executive director of AIM-listing Chaarat Gold Holdings Ltd.

Michael Peat and Karl Gruber, both of whom were to step down from the board at the AGM, will stay on for a few months instead to help the transition. However, Laurie Argo will leave the board at the end of the AGM.

Current stock price: 684.40 pence, down 2.0% on Tuesday

Year-to-date change: up 45%
