Fairview, the operator of international schools following the International Baccalaureate curriculum, is pleased to announce that two principals from the Fairview schools' network have delivered presentations at corporate events in Malaysia this week.
Dr Vincent Chian, Principal of the Fairview's school in Kuala Lumpur, presented to the British Malaysian Society's Trade and Investment Forum held on Tuesday 19 November 2024 at the offices of the Malaysian Investment Development Authority on techniques to drive innovation in education.
Professor Dr Gopinathan, Principal of the Fairview's school in Ipoh, Malaysia, presented at an event in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday 21 November 2024 for Malaysian businesses seeking to expand into the United Kingdom.
In their presentations, Dr Chian and Dr Gopinathan made the following points:
- Fairview's schools have achieved significant accolades in the 46 years that the network has been in operation, including being named as the top International Baccalaureate school in Malaysia over four consecutive years as well as being ranked in the top 1% of International Baccalaureate schools in the world over five consecutive years
- This has been achieved through a highly competitive cost structure, with Fairview school fees around half of average International Baccalaureate school fees in Malaysia
- With 38% of all international schools having opened since January 2022, there is considerable scope to expand Fairview's business through acquisition
- "Building an Ecosystem" through connecting international schools in the UK and Asia provides added benefit for both students and teachers
- Schools are naturally operationally geared business models with each additional student providing incrementally higher profitability
