I have been sitting on cash for some time and think I want to deploy up to half of it into bonds to try and capture some yield. I have been looking at maybe building a small portfolio of bond funds which I would plan to hold for around 3-4 years. I do not need the income so they will need to be Accumulation based funds so I avoid taxes on the income. If international / global based funds I would like to hedge out some of the currency risk. I have tried Morningstar etc but am struggling to find an effective place to screen and ID such funds. Any suggestions either on funds to look at or places to search for them. Overall, I would like to participate in any upward swing in yields but also minimize volatility and therefore at current rates would be happy to look at funds with current yield in the 4-6% range.
