Discretionary Brokers are different from Advisory Brokers, in that the broker is authroised to trade on a clients behalf, without consent for each and every trade. A discretionary broker will usually have an understanding of a client's risk and investment objectives, and make trades accordingly. An advantage of discretionary broking is that trades can happen faster, as client approval is not required. A disadvantage might be the lack of individual trade control, or the ability of the broker.
