Avingtrans Share Price (AVG)

ST has recommended Avingtrans numerous times previously often creating an immediate positive response in the share price. However not immediately today (down 5p). with some weak holders likely taking profits ahead of some nasties anticipated in the end Oct. Budget. I concur fully with oogleflugals recent post. A very well run company and has plenty of scope over the next 18 months for share price to move up..-Possibly quite a bit!

ST of the IC recommends AVG as a buy. He states "Excluding acquisitions, underlying cash profit would have been £2mn higher and adjusted pre-tax profit, which declined from £9mn to £7.3mn, would have increased a third to £12mn."

In my very recent post replying to Stuartrm I ought to have mentioned that these figures were RESULTS FI OR THE YEAR not Interims!.

Also both brokers Singers and Cavendish have this morning put out encouraging notes - with price targets of 525p and 495p and forecasts through to FY26.

Hello Stuartrm, It took me almost an hour to carefully read through the RNS announcement - I think the reduction in adjusted EPS is mainly due to the losses in the medical division as it is primed for early commercialisation of both the scanning technology products. As for the share price there ought ti be genuine serious buyers around hoping to hoover up sellers concerned of possible budgets changes affecting CGT or Inheritance Tax.

The negative that will temper any enthusiasm seems to be "Adjusted Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was 18.5p (2023: 23.4p)". It is not clear to me what caused this, as any new operations will have been excluded from this figure.
