The update is quite clear...
"In April 2021, the Group received orders for its 'Chill' brand totalling US$0.34 million from a number of previously announced distribution partners in the United States rolling out 'Chill' to over 2,000 stores. Up to 14 May 2021, the Group had received additional orders in excess of US$1.0 million for its 'Chill' brand and has continued to increase the roll out of 'Chill' into stores operated by the previously announced distribution partners."
Therefore we know for a fact that ..
In April 21 Chill was being distributed into 2,000 stores. It has taken then four months to introduce another 500 stores.
In May 21 they continues to increase the rollout into stores . Therefore, we can assume that's the last 500 stores supplied.
They also state in May "Following receipt of the orders outlined above, the Group is trading profitably".
What have they been doing during June and July with no stores added to the rollout !!
Yet on 1st July 21 we are informed by a Business Update that "Sales to the Company's US distributor for a further US$0.72 million for 'Chill' brand CBD smokes and chews to facilitate re-orders and the continued roll out of the products."
What rollout! We have already hit the 2,500 stores in May 21.
There are two months of potential store rollouts equalling around 1,000 stores not accounted for.....?
This we learnt today.
If, say, started to build a house in April, then in May said I was adding an extra couple of rooms would you expect it to be finished by June? They were rolling out to 2,000 in April but did they say it’s be complete by the end of the month. Not as I recall. So inJune and July they continued rolling out to stores, not rocket science. Rome wasn’t built in a day and all that.
The company set the target, they announced the target and have not inferred at anytime over past six months that the target of 3,500 outlets would not be met, that is up until today. Your easily pleased.
In the middle of a pandemic, you only have to see the impact businesses have in this country since April the states is very similar. I'm very impressed with 2500 high footfall stores.
I’m able to see the positives. 3500 would obviously be better, but what the company has achieved over the last few months is in my view quite remarkable. Rolling out in the us, uk launch, acquisition or chill domain etc. You seem difficult to please and only see the negatives. All IMO. I have no concerns with my investment here.
Craigy. Imagine if there is a massive gap up tomorrow morning .!! With all the news expected i would not be surprised :)
You know what that means! It means that in six - nine months time we will have to come back down here to revisit the gap. lol
I don't know what you SUPER believers worry about really, you truly believe its going to be a one horse race, it can only go up - so best thing to do is put the shares away and forget about them and come back in five years time and collect your winnings. SIMPLE. everyone knows its that simple really...it the others who complicate things by asking silly questions.
Leave it to the rest of us lost souls to do all the worrying . What is it you all say, sit back, Chill.
the POSITIVES far outweigh any negativity the trolls may pick up on imo !!
covid has played a big part in the distribution and sales...no doubt about that.
You cannot keep pointing fingers and regurgitating same old figures at our company directors indefinately.
derampers will nitpick...not highlight the hard work behind the scenes to get to where we are in such a short time.
They deal with FSA, EU rollout, Slovak rollout, European rules, UK rules, US rules, patents, websites, updates, marketing, interviews, the list goes on...and yet, some folk want to know why 500 doors are not open to selling our ace products !!!!....
Gallini. Sorry but you are making excuses for a poor performance. Covid was mentioned last year as a concern - but there has been no mention by the company since march 21 that covid could seriously impact the July 3,500 outlet rollout target. You have just include covid as an excuse on behalf of the company so to explain to yourself how they missed their own targets.
You are a shareholder, they work for you and you need to keep an eye on what they say, and what actually happens.
Even John Story said the idea of the rollout is pretty much a mechanical operation that has been done thousands of times with other products...its not like Zoe are going through stage 1, 2, and 3 drug trials. The product gets delivered to so many shops in a certain time period and hopefully sells.
Well said craigy! If I didn’t believe in the company I’d sell. I also take a long term view, sps don’t move in straight lines, so no real concerns (chilled if you like vas). Yes I’d have liked to see the 3500 stores hit, and would liked to have seen more detail on the numbers, but at worst I see it as a delay and nothing else. Will they hit 3500 stores? Yep, abd many more. As Fred says, for me the positives far outweigh the negatives so I’ll continue to hold until my view changes. GLA
Craigy..
it is just a blip bud.
not a single long term holder has been on here today moaning !!
if you google usa lorry driver shortage you will see why our logistics dept has struggled, we are no different to any other retailer over there . same for shop staff...scarce.
Im pretty certain the expected figures from most investors will even out by xmas time...we appear to be demanding too much too soon !!!
just chill...
Craigy..trust me, the hospital porter will NEVER wind me up !!
never read his trash.
Craigy. I was joking about the gap, alright. Its very unlikely to happen tomorrow unless we get a stellar RNS - so don't worry about that. I understand your point of view but how can we have a BB where everyone just agrees with each other all the time.....This BB, and the Telegram one which is more informative, but are more like support groups for like minded people who just want the reassurance of knowing that what they think is what other people think.....and to be honest if anyone even dares to think and type anything slightly controversial then they are attacked and insulted. by the same few characters who dominate these two boards.
Between me and you, i sometimes wonder if a few of them are on the payroll! i know that sounds daft and its sort of what they say about me, the twins, trolls, etc ..that we are shorters.......but that's their way of dealing with anyone with a voice of their own.
anyhow, blood orange and bed time !!
posted far too much today..thats what comes of naff weather stopping me being fishy fred...
I have the feeling Craigy that if we are back here at these prices in three years time Fred will say - its just a blip...seems more inclined to talk about his fishing than anything else. I hope the weather is better tomorrow Fred. A Blood Orange before bed, isn't that a fancy goldfish !
you make most of the time with him bud.
more important things in life than typing on a keyboard...although I have overdone it a bit today !!
hope you are still showing him old pics..keep his mem working...
It's about transparency, no surprises. Not 3500 was a surprise and the market reaction tells you it's not a good surprise.
Craig... No need for a non technical response.
If they couldn't do miracles, they should have said sooner to soften the message is all.
Hopefully we see some revenue numbers update for a bounce sometime soon.
Was half expecting a TR1 this morning, as all those 1m plus trades were logged the same time, implying from the same broker, perhaps Monday, keeping an eye out for some cheapos today if the seller comes back on, 40p was his bottom yesterday, he will have to drop a bit from there if he’s got any amount to shift today imho. Top up Friday maybe.
