its bargain basement, tschudi producing circa 17,000 tonnes of copper per annum, costs around 4500 per tonne. Copper at around 7000.
Blanklook - from what I can tell, after such a big rise, profit taking is taking place on the uncertainty of the restructuring of the debt owed to Orion. Volume is low so nothing to be concerned about. My experience says we are back in the buy zone..but each to their own interpretation. Other, more informed posters, will tell you if it's still incredibly cheap in a rising CU price environment....but I think it is.
What's the story here? Was 3.70p a few weeks back, now down ~50%. Seems like a decent copper play, but price dropping heavily - yet copper price staying steady? What are the catalysts here, if any?
Anyone with a technical view to where this may bottom at? Low volume, but dropping fast.
158046 was my top-up. Looking for support to hold at 2.05 before the next climb to test 52 week high
Keeping hope alive!
all i can see there was little sellers
6% down on less than 600k shares traded?. My top up showing as a sell! Fun and games
Typical AIM - recent investors either out (at a loss) or well underwater by now.
my point is; lets hope Logiman have almost liquidated their position! :)
TDT Hopefully it is that easy to keep track :), although I think the reporting might depend on underlying shareholders complying and disclosing their number of shares. When I worked at large institutional (totally different fish), we were disclosing all our shareholders daily through "companies act" reporting. One time a colleague of mine posted an incorrect and exaggerated recording of Vodafone shares, then we had phone calls asking if we were planning a takeover of the company!! Have a nice day all, Patters
Will be forced to reduce copper production by 1% in the next year every little bit helps push poc higher.
Will get some good news soon
I look forward to the day! No more statements at the end of each RNS or the possibility of being diluted. Just need the POC to keep edging higher. :)
If Logiman aren't disclosing their reducing shareholding, how would WTI know how many they have left? Even the shareholding quoted on their website?
Scrubby.as soon as the payment start that,s it.
Given the various uncertainties I thought it may at least be useful for colleagues here to be aware of the various rules surrounding this. A reasonably readable explanation can be found here https://uk.practicallaw.thomsonreuters.com/w-009-1710?transitionType=Default&contextData=(sc.Default)&firstPage=true&bhcp=1 What still to me isn't entirely clear is how do the authorities bring pressure to comply with the disclosure rules on foreign privately owned entities. Also it is open to WTI to search their own share register if they have reason to believe a material change may have occurred. The way I read it is that they have a month in which to do so and should anyway check the situation for the half and full year results publication.
Are they producing free cashflow? Yes and it should be a very good year. But they wont start payments in March because they need the cash for the development projects and acquisitions. The lender Orion is absolutely fine with the situation as we're racking up interest. They won't foreclose because they'd take a big hit on Tscudi.
With all the numbers that have been posted, does anyone have any idea if WTI can make the next payment in March? I know there have been purchases etc. but it would be a huge step to finally start chipping away at the debt.
Excuse me for asking but how do you know this? If not logiman then who is selling?
While it plays an important role in run-of-the-mill uses such as electrical wiring and plumbing pipes, copper also is vital in the construction of electric vehicles (EV). Demand for the metal, which is used in their batteries and motors, is expected to soar in the coming years as production of EVs accelerates. According to a recent study by IDTech Ex, the growth of the EV market will produce an eightfold rise in copper demand over the next 10 years. That looming surge in the number of electric cars and buses on the road isn't the only reason investors should consider adding copper exposure to their portfolios. For those generally interested in metals, copper offers an alternative to gold and silver, one that mitigates the risk of a downturn in the precious metal markets.
You'll never see Baron's holding as it must be through a nominee otherwise it would be listed on the major shareholder list. Someone sold c30m shares around 3-3.5p. Those trades point to Logiman so their current holding will be 30-50m
it still says in his twitter bio that it is is his 4th biggest holding, so i guess you would presume he still holds wti and he sees it as a long term play
i totally agree, i just wondered that's all, not that it matters!
