GIT think you can relate to this. Sisterinlaw is finding it hard to go to work nowadays as she comes home after a 10 hour shift. Comes home in flood of tears after watching some of the patients struggling to breathe. Plus they can't let relatives in to be with them. Worse still when some pass away with this. However she feels that she has to pick herself up and get on with it.
Like I said before, the wife looks after autistic young adults. But you try telling them that they can't go home or parents can't visit. Anyone knows about autism you will understand. If they don't have their routine they will kick off big time.
We humans think we are invisible, but the smallest thing in the world can kill you.
Worzel
I certainly can relate to it mate.
My daughter is a doctor working on a respiratory ward, every patient is Covid-19 positive, and it’s certainly not the only ward in her hospital full of Covid-19 patients.
Han**** has stated on the Andrew Marr show that the WHO guidance is now being followed for PPE and for example nhs staff are wearing full gowns not silly little plastic aprons - I can’t check with my daughter as she is working but that was not the case a few days ago, is your sister in law wearing full gowns now ?
She is now mate. But only recently got them last Wednesday and full face masks.
Worzel
Is she working in intensive care or a normal Covid-19 ward mate ?
GIT my apologies for late response. Not a full nurse mate but a care worker that helps the nurses on a normal ward. But now helping on a covid 1 9 ward but not in intensive care. Not qualified
re Worzel Who are risking their lives , had a pay rise that put them into a higher pension bracket and gave them less take home salary than before the rise? Who had a £2k pay rise extra expenses and continue to be crap at the management job they're supposes to fulfil. Who do you value more your nurses who are thoroughly undervalued, left without protection or the MP's who seem to be absolutely useless in serving and managing the country, and even have personal security something they couldn't prepare front line staff for. The Commons, able to lay in a store of fine wines with up to 40 years shelf life but unable to keep a store of basic hospital front line coveralls and masks to be used in a pandemic, just basic personal protection. FGS they stockpiled green goddess fire engines for over 50 years. Utter incompetence by successive govts on a grand scale
From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs. . 2/3rds of the administration of the country worth SFA whilst many front line NHS staff risk their lives with inadequate protection and simply can't afford a mortgage .
Worzel
Thanks for your response mate, I will let my daughter know and ask her what the situation is in her hospital now.
Only
I find myself agreeing with your posts !
Inki, and you quoting Marxism. Well it is very frustrating seeing the decisions that have just about bungled along, so it could drive a man to such ends.
Re Safety/ Marxism Sunday Nothing wrong with Marx that Stalin couldn't put right
