Have done a quick search of glossaries on LSE and iii and drawn a blank. Could anyone tell me what an IMS is? My ignorance is showing but I remain unflustered...for now at least.
Has upped his stake to over 26%, having increased his stake by 42 million. Only 4% from having to launch a takeover Very interesting, having declared the day before the update. Plenty more large trades going through today and still the SP stagnates. I am hoping and fairly confident the NAV will increase tomorrow and we will see a rise in the SP
IMS is due out on 3 Feb so fingers and toes crossed we should have some good news about the commercial property sector during Q4.
Looks a lot till you see the number of shares in issue. As a percentage of that, it's next to nothing.
why the large volume of buyers and the price drps
long term winner here...its my sleeper ..i expect big things once rent rises and economy picks up ..good solid business model...look at the rental % not bad ...
WKP has a really experienced management team with a great track record. There are property deals to be done all over at the moment and the bargains will be snapped up by those with strong balance sheets and good mgmt. Wkp has both and I'm expecting the Glebe deal to give evidence of that. In the next IMS it wouldn't be surprising to see asset values up 5-6% since the 30 Sept val. Glebe could offer up more should they wish to declare it. At that level debt would be just over 50% of asset value. So, assuming no major external market upheaval, I'm expecting NAV at around 28p. I can also see SP discount to NAV reducing further on the reduced gearing and if rent roll is stable. With the location of the assets and dev potential some offer you'd have to think this presents good take over potential. All MHO. Good to see more action, and from serious contributors, on this board.
Some serious after hours buys reported today - bodes well for Monday's opening.
just wait till it rises 10% in one day and they will flood in like water through a burst dam!
the fact that there are no idiots on this BB long may it last.
but I think today is the last day to buy if you want a dividend.
Yes, mnr was my lucky share of 2009, and I'm still in there. Our 29% shareholder here is a pretty shrewd investor too. I really like this stock. The fact they generate cash and pay a dividend is a bonus. I'm expecting the Glebe assets to deliver a lot of value and so do they IMO. The fact the bank deal specifies criteria on disposals up to £200M says as much. Makes an £83M purchase price look good. We'll see.
Yes, there is a 29% shareholder over at mnr and look what's happening over there. Whitechapel ain't Walbrook, but I've got faith in this company and am in long term. R
I'd go along with that. I really like the management here. They are a sage bunch IMO. I'm expecting that as people become more familiar with the model and its resilience the SP in relation to NAV will improve. I agree that the latest NAV seems on the conservative side and hopefully we'll see some upwards movement in the next coupl eof quarters. I think we are due more news at the end of this month. One thing that could generate a rapid increase would be a bid. I knbow they have an investor with a 29% stake so it has to be a possibility. All IMHO. Let's hope we get lucky with this Ollief.
I think there's a certain amount of expectancy that the NAV can surely only increase from what many think is an undervaluation of 22p a share.... which is why the SP is currently trading slighlty above this..... Long term I think this is definitely a worthwhile share to hold... I see it being a bit of a slow burner which will tick up gradually as the year progresses rather than there being a sudden sharp jump upwards... IMO.....
I've not posted on here before. Saw the share has fallen a little today and I'm buying more. I've been in since 14p and topped up recently and will now buy again on dips. I have read all the presentation of the last coupl eof months and I think the general rise in London asset values, combined with Glebe deal makes this attractive at this price. Glebe deal increases NAV a couple of pennies and asset values are up 5%+ since 30 Sept val (according to CBRE who provides WK with vals). I think getting the Glebe assets for £83MM may end up looking very good value when you consider they were close to £150M at their peak. I like the model and the assets.
23p to buy in WKP now. We're now reaching the top of the current sp range. Let's hope the momentum & sentiment stays so we can break through to new levels around 25p in Jan. Still a very good & safe long term recovery hold in my opinion.
A very good share & good sector to be in for the recovery in 2010/11. A nice tick up to end the day here too - will hopefully be pushing into a new range soon.
I had to sell this last Friday.Due to other things.Hope to be back later.Still a good share this.

4 large buys at the close, totalling almost 2 million shares. Buys out numbering sells by almost 4 to 1. It would be nice to see some upward movement, evn if its only a quarter of a point.

"Financier Nick Roditi's involvement in small business space developer Workspace could deepen as he increased his stake as part of yesterday's placing. About 42m shares are to be placed with Rovida, Mr Roditi's vehicle, taking his holding from 25 per cent to 29 per cent. He was once one of George Soros's top lieutenants in Europe.
