I had a mail from Neil Riches yesterday that told investors to expect news on the MyClub listing and WGP legal case by the end of this week. I'll post a summary of his update when I receive it.
Is there any news. It's all gone rather quiet .. My understanding was that we should by now have some positive indications
I hope the complete silence since the meeting at the end of November is due to restrictions on all parties and let's hope 2017 proves to be the year that WGP shareholders see some reward for the years of disappointment. Have a great Christmas everyone.
I own Papillon and have only done so for a short time. I feel for the WGP holders and the long wait you have had to endure. I look forward to any developments. I have been told to expect February as time frame for shares to be able to be traded again. I do not know if this is any relevance to you.
Information generally comes from Neil Riches himself via mails to shareholders. Along with Wazza, I'll let you know whenever I hear of any developments.
Sounds constructive. Could you direct me to where I could also see information of this kind? Thank you.
The various parties are meeting in the US today to hopefully reach an out of court settlement. Wonder how long it will be before we hear the result of the meeting?
Thanks for that. It's good to have someone involved with your knowledge. I note that the shares I received from MCB are titled The Betting Service Ltd.so will there be issues as the business has since changed its name? Regards
Hope everyone received the mail from Neil Riches earlier this week re court hearing in Delaware scheduled for Jan 2017. The court has ordered there to be a mediation meeting between the parties (Quest for WGP, Bloomberg and Charles Schwab) on November 29th with statements to be submitted to the meeting drafted by 17th November. The mediation group has the authority to agree/propose a settlement in advance of the court hearing scheduled for Jan 17. Neil Riches commented that this represented progress whilst inviting caution re the possible outcome. We could, therefore have a settlement offer before Xmas. Hopefully, Quest have done their homework and can push for a robust settlement. With only 40 million or so shares in issue, a decent settlement could prove very lucrative for us, especially when you consider how many companies are involved. I am unsure what the implications for WGP shareholders are right now, though. If a settlement figure is agreed, would the company be obliged to seek to have it's shares lifted from suspension so shares could be traded again? Would Neil Riches wish to issue WGP shareholders with a one-off dividend? Could NR transfer any settlement money into MyClubBetting instead? My hunch is that as the patent was issued under Worldlink, Aim rules would decree that any settlement be paid into WGP, but this may be wrong. I'll mail NR and ask him what the position would be and let people know. Regards,
Thanks for that. With many companies using our patented technology in the US, I agree a settlement could be mouth-watering particularly with the low number of shares in issue here. Not getting my hopes up as we have a long way to go, but us shareholders deserve a result here. Stay in touch, Wazza. All the best.
I spoke to Neil Riches over the phone a couple of weeks ago. I had received an update on My Club Betting and mailed the company to ask for an update on WGP. Neil phoned me himself and informed me that he was visiting the US this month for the final time to present evidence, out of court, re the patent case. The two companies involved in the alleged breach of patent have tried to block the case going to court, but on both occasions, the judge has ruled against them. The case, if it gets that far, is due to be heard in Feb 2017, but the parties may choose to settle out of court. There are many companies using the patented technology, so a ruling in favour of WGP would be very lucrative. If I heear any more from the horses mouth, I'll post here and I'd appreciate it if others did the same.
Nope. I have my shars sat in my account for WGP and to be honest they've been there so long I have written them off completely. If I get a bag of nuts out of this I'll be happy.
wazzza, any feedback after your trip would be most appreciated. Thanks.
Just noticed that the old shares I had (can't remember the company name) have changed to My Club Betting shares on my nominee account. Still effectively worthless though!! No ticker symbol etc. Are these going public at some point does anyone know?
No. Bi have had nothing It was all very frenetic .....Now all very quiet
Has anyone received their My Club Betting shares yet?
Yes indeed .....they are revamping Worldlink yet again. It's the same old faces......same old strategy No doubt it will end in exactly the same routine
I received the same mail shot as you it seems. On receipt of the update and offer to participate in the pre-ipo, I emailed Brian Fox at Mybetting to query the validity of the shares I hold in The Betting Service and the current position re Worldlink. He got straight back to me to confirm that the shares I hold in The Betting Service will be tradable when My Club Betting launches. In the info pack, the company stated that shares would be priced at around £6.34 on launch-these were being offered to Worldlink shareholders at half that amount. He went on to confirm that Worldlink is currently suspended pending the outcome of the patent dispute being heard in the US. He said he anticipated that WGP would relist on the main market if it won the patent appeal case. I had written off these shares completely and of course this may ultimately be the case, but it appears there may be opportunities to get some money back at some stage. Presumably, we will next be informed about the My Betting Club ipo launch and clearly this is worth keeping an eye on. GLA.
From Myclub betting which apparently I have a shareholding in being a WGP lucky holder... They are raising funds - and you get one bonus share for each share purchased !!!! Anyone else had the same bumf???
from another bb I have a piece of paper from Herr Riches - and he says he wants as many WGP shareholders as possible to read it. I copy it below and leave the interpretation to you! Although I can't use the link he provides in his text, rumour has it that the patent case(s) in the US seem to be proceeding rather well, and the sums involved are very large. Whilst I will not be holding my breath, I am not treating my investment as a complete write off yet. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Over the past few years the directors of Worldlink Group plc have been working hard to give a return to investors and shareholders alike, who were good enough to acquire shares in the company. Many factors affected the introduction of the Group onto the London Stock Exchange in 2011, and many of you are probably wondering what has happened since. Worldlink is still listed but suspended. The reason for this is because the patent that you invested in then is now being litigated - and eventually licensed - in the United States if the current actions are successful. Assets – both technology and intellectual property – were acquired by My Club Betting.com Limited (formerly The Betting Service Limited and now referred to as My Club Betting). My Club Betting gave 20% of its issued share capital to individual Worldlink shareholders, and also 20% of the expected net patent revenues to Worldlink. For every ninety three (93) shares that you held in Worldlink you received one (1) share in My Club Betting (formerly The Betting Service Limited). These should have been sent to you or your nominee. The patent was assigned to a company called Quest - who you were probably aware of. My Club Betting receives circa 25% of the net patent revenues from Quest (so 20% My Club Betting and 5% Worldlink). Moving on from the past I would now like to let you know about some of the exciting events that are happening right now. First, take a look at the My Club Betting website - hxxp://myclubbetting.com/ and the attached press release in regard to Club Website. This has just been released. In relation to the patent please take a look at the news just out from the United States http://www.slideshare.net/slideshow/embed_code/46740294. The above are just small pieces of news of what is going on at My Club Betting. There is so much more going on. I thanked you for being a shareholder of Worldlink and am now thanking you for being a shareholder of My Club Betting too. If you have not received your shares please let us know. If you know of any other shareholders please give them the news and ask them to contact us. Somebody will shortly be calling you to discuss your position. Regards, Neil Riches Group Director – My Club Group MyClubBetting.com Limited M: 07736 670055 O: 01883 332652 W: www.myclubbetting.com
