Fair play 121 not out
I would take today's share price performance as a positive. Lots of ADVFN boarders were fearing a bigger drop. I suspect there is some decent support/resilience around this level. No bad thing. A good topping up point for those so inclined maybe.
After such positive movement everything has turned to doom and gloom! The patent issue is still in the back ground. If I were one of the big players I'd be using a small company, say the size of Chryson for example, to get a piece of the business so that any litigation against me would be kept in house..... Just a thought.
Too late for me, I invested in 2008 under the Arc pre-IPO round with a couple of others in this forum. Selling now would be pretty much writing off the entire amount (lots of dilution and share splits since then). I really need it above the IPO price to get some worthwhile money back so hanging on for a big name patent license announcement. That will save me!
maybe you should cut your losses then and invest in shares you have more faith in.
I beg to differ. I have been on WGP Press Releases since 2007 and it is the same old rubbish each time but getting worse. At least when I was stupid enough to get really excited back then, it was because the PR names were big ones like Worldspreads, IDC, Ladbrokes etc plus the patent announcements were at least patent specific like Quest in 2009 (nothing happened). In 2012, it is Ramsgate and Chryson. Hard to not be disillusioned. I assume you saw the December 2010 announcement (during WGP's Frankfurt listing) about TGI Solar acquiring their US business for $10 million etc. Same old thing. A little update in April 2011 (much changed) then disappeared without a trace. Just like One Media Tech. Wait a while, release same old press releases with new companies, pump stock a bit, wait a bit longer. Same again. I guarantee a new "potential acquirer" will not be a recognised name and won't complete. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me". Can't believe I actually got excited about OMT.
Don't be there could still be an offer and we are making progress .

Yet another AR announcement. After the Jarvis and Worldspreads ARs together with IDC, Ladbrokes and Bet Butler delivered £3K revenue between them, we will be easily beguiled by an AR announcement with a tiny and largely unknown discretionary CFD dealer that this time will deliver some decent revenue honest. Maybe it will rival Ramsgate FC for biggest deal since the IPO. Rather frustrated and disillusioned this morning.
For release: 20th February 2012 Worldlink Group and Chryson to Create Joint Venture Worldlink Group plc. (LSE: WGP) and Chryson Wealth Management announce today that they are in negotiations to create a Joint Venture (JV) partnership. This will bring Worldlink's existing business together with Chryson's Wealth Management expertise to create a new entity to operate alongside Chryson's established business. As a result of this JV, clients will have access to the extended services. In addition, Worldlink Brokers Limited has entered into an agreement to become an Authorised Representative of Chryson following approval by the FSA. Both parties see this as a sensible first step whilst the details of the JV are finalised, which is anticipated to complete within 3-6 months. In anticipation of this, Worldlink Brokers Limited are finalising their new trading website which will go live in the next few days. The mobile platform is covered by the gatekeeper Worldlink patents covering change data in real time on mobile devices. Neil Riches Managing Director of Worldlink commented: "The patents that form the core of Worldlink's business were born out of the developments in mobile technology nearly 13 years ago. Applying the scope of those patents to providing real time data for financial markets allowing trading from all mobile devices has been the objective of the Group for a long time, and will become a significant revenue stream for the Company following the formation of the joint venture. Gaining market share will be enhanced by the marketing capability of Chryson and the recognition of Chryson brand as a market leader in contract for difference trading. I see only synergistic benefits for our clients from this development and I look forward to building on this relationship to generate a sizeable business for the JV." Malcolm McNiven, Managing Director of Chryson said:" The investment community is becoming increasingly a mobile community and we want to get access to the best quality mobile offer we can for our clients so they can trade wherever they happen to be. Worldlink are an ideal partner for us as not only do they provide a robust mobile trading platform the protection of the Worldlink patents allows us to ring fence any additional market share we generate, an important advantage in a very competitive arena. We agree that there is a great deal of synergy in this relationship and anticipate a long and fruitful partnership" For more information please contact:
Night following Day.
i dont think there will be an offer ! just yet.
I did say at 9.49 on Monday that I bet those early 5000 Sells would be XCAP. RNS today confirms it. Lucky guess?
thanks*
hanks ink
All well here Base thanks, hope all is well with you.
brano and ink hope u both good
Inktomi Top draw again !!!! Your comment s make mine look amateurish which they are a bit . But this is one of my holdings to start off with so really trying to research as much as possible. Thanks pal .See you in the morning buddy .
I agree getting an actual bona fide offer on the table is a very good thing even if it is not acceptable (as long as its not insultingly low). It will make people sit up and notice and if WGP play this right, they should be able to PR a declined offer very well to get other interest. Not sure that the Marketmakers or their apparently "totally independent" exempt division should be manipulating the share price to achieve it though especially after their statement to Luckyles last week. I don't think the 340K is XCAP though because you can identify their disclosed transaction in the Level 2. Hoping the 340K might be a first draw down from Funchal or Zigong, that would be a good sign because it would mean WGP have met the conditions of the Equity Line Funding. No comment on the patent action, you know my view so no point repeating it. Fingers crossed though!
COULD BE STRONG AMOUNT OF CASH COMING BACK TO THE COMPANY.IF THEY GET BACK 10% of the money back its £800,000 so be nuts not for this company to be sold for £2-5 million . !!! At the very least .!!! Again my thoughts ... BETBUTLER IS THIS COMPANIES BOOKIES HAVE A BET ON IT hahah
Worldlink Commences Actions to Protect its Intellectual Property SHOULD BE UPDATING ON THIS ASAP AGAIN MY THOUGHTS Worldlink is issuing its first Letter Before Action in connection with a UK Company which is infringing its UK patent GB 235768B. This formal commencement of proceedings comes after communication with the infringing company over the past year and the offer of a patent license. Worldlink estimates the total value of royalties due from this company for the life of the patent to be £8m. Worldlink has approached more than 30 companies in relation to infringement of its patents which cover the provision of real-time data to all mobile devices. In a second phase of protecting its patent rights, Worldlink have identified a further 20 companies to whom they will offer licences for access to its UK patent over the coming weeks. In order to pursue these actions, Worldlink has entered into conditional fee arrangements with leading Counsel and lawyers. The Company is also considering an application for after the event insurance. Neil Riches, Managing Director at Worldlink commented: 'This formal action follows extensive research into the robustness of the Worldlink UK patent, which has resulted in a positive Opinion from one of the UK's leading QC's. The Opinion also formed part the Prospectus produced as part of the listing application process to the Standard Segment of the London Stock Exchange. In addition, expert witness reports have been compiled to support the technological and historical background to the patent and its validity.' Worldlink intends to increase its licensing activities to protect the commercial position it has been working towards in the financial, and most recently, sports betting markets.
These will be Xcaps payments Form8.5 . My thoughts . This is a really good thing . Its in the price and keeping it low so the company get a Base offer for the other company . If its really low we would have seen it in the RNS by now . But I think It wants a low offer from this company to get the ball rolling for the WGP to get another offer.... May be working on it behind the scenes ???? Again my thoughts . Discussions will be on going. And NO company would BIDDING for a company JUst for the sake of Bidding . The Companies invovled must be very happy with the future PATENT Hearing !!!!!! KEEP THE FAITH ONLY A FEW WEEKS
