That's the optimistic and over simplistic view of the numbers.
What about all of the other running costs and debt amortisation starting in June, what about the payment guarantees where are they ? How do we know they're getting 2m they weren't getting paid everything before remember..
You've answered your own question.
'Why aren't other employees or people with a knowledge of what's going on buying - it says it all sadly.'
Too much price sensitive knowledge around at the moment would be my guess.
What price West Med? We can only guess. Directors and others have that knowledge.
Dibamba? What's the deal, if any.
Bassa? When, and if.
Just look at it as positive sign. Director buying is a sign of weakness.
correction 2m *12/365. I reckon they are making 7-10m net after interest. Also 2m a month is, I reckon, a conservative figure.
65750 is VOG's share. 2m a month * 24 / 365.
Why are there still no director buys, even a token gesture to show some positivity and unity with the shareholders.
Why aren't other employees or people with a knowledge of what's going on buying - it says it all sadly.
I may be wrong but i'm still expecting the next news to move the price down rather than up.. ?
Either we are gubbed, our we are in for that pleasant surprise one late poster reassured us of.
Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed - as if he facts were not a struggle enough.
Fair point.
jedclampit had turned it into a yearly figure in his post
But whichever way you look at it, £10m to maintain an asset written down to zero by a debt ridden company looking over the precipice is pretty worrying.
I got it Biggs. I suspect Jimmy was being mischievous
??? my point was £10M over the last TEN YEARS.
West Med is costing approx 1m a year and not 10m a year.
So more 2,740 than 27,400.....didn't bother checking other figures after spotting that
earned a day, but that is an estimate based on best wishes and if everything works out at full power and for the year.
Of cause that will never happen but if it did, then we would have to take away the 40 / 60 split + Cam gov 5% so we would be left with approx 57% = £37,477 to vog.
Then take away the West Med running cost of approx £27,400. which leaves about £10,000.
then take away royalties and general running costs of £ £12,000 a day and vog are still making a daily loss of £2,000.
I think they need to work harder than that, and push up sales to over £100,000 a day.
locked in to SP, puzzled at how to get out.
lol - deduct expenses ... and .....
£65,753 earned today.
That’s if you included the weekends when calculating VOG’s daily earnings.
??
have we honestly spent more than £10M 'maintaining' westmed?
how those savings would help us right now.

About Eneo prepaid meters
The digital revolution is transforming the life of companies. Accelerating changes at Eneo by leveraging the promise of technology has impacted various aspects of the company's business and the experience of our customers. Smart meters are one of the technological solutions used in the transformation process of the electrical service launched since 2019. Prepaid smart meters offer the customer a strong power of control over their electricity consumption, over their budget and, above all, make life easier for customers by eliminating several compelling steps in their relations with Eneo.
During the initial pilot phase of prepaid-meter implementation in the Douala South area (New-Bell), 500 meters were installed. This made it possible to determine the conditions for the success of this new mode of consumption and metering.
The agreement between Eneo and the SIC, as well as the launch of a meter migration operation in the area of Bonapriso recently will accelerate the implementation of the Eneo prepaid operation and thus pave the way for its extension.
seriously though, where are the gas2energy projects among: construction of the Douala International Conference Center, Bonabéri multimodal bus station, urban forest in the Bessékè valley, Douala exhibition centre. Unles the buses run on LNG and the exhibition centre is gas-powered.
https://www.businessincameroon.com/companies/1402-8852-1-872-applicants-vying-for-four-director-positions-at-metropolitan-investment-company-of-douala
The Metropolitan Investment Company of Douala (Smid), a company created to develop the Cameroonian economic capital, held its 2nd Board meeting last February 2019 and screened applications to recruit a Managing Director, Administrative and Financial Director, Director of Promotion, Marketing and Public Relations, and Director of Operations and Production.
According to the government delegate to the Douala Urban Community which initiated the Smid project, a total of 1,872 applications were received for these four positions, three of which were awarded to women, including that of managing director for whom more than 600 candidates were in the running ; the position of administrative and financial director was given to a man.
In the long term, Smid aims to mobilize a global budget of XAF1,400 billion for the implementation of certain major projects in the Cameroonian economic capital.
These include, for example, the construction of the Douala International Conference Center (XAF12.4 billion), Bonabéri multimodal bus station (XAF1.9 billion), urban forest in the Bessékè valley (XAF2.29 billion), Douala exhibition centre (XAF8.5 billion), etc.
Getting the truth removed - more of a looser than i thought.
Was it because I made money on Debs, is it just more sour grapes ??
As regards a placing, it's very unlikely that shares would be offered via a rights issue, if indeed there would be any investor appetite for this.
By the same token, for an institutional investor to come on board, they would want some comfort that it will be worth it in terms of future growth/profits. Bear in mind the last placing at 57p compared with current SP of 14 ie 25% of that.
On current levels of sales, there is no profit to be had and whilst money raised would presumably go towards infrastructure (hopefully) rather than into a black hole, we still need a sea change in the so called levels of demand from both big power and industrial customers.
Hopefully over the next month or so we will see a steady increase in gas uptake.
To be very little interest in vog at the moment, very few people posting and very very few shares being bought.
I guess that meens many are stillwaiting to see if vog are going to announce a placing at what 10p -15p.
Looks like the sp is heading back to 13p, have to just sit on the sidelines and see.
