Maybe have a listen to Joni Mitchell 'Blue'
Apparently all the songs interrelate in their theme of 'loss and transformation'

Yet again Voda doing nothing apart from slowly dropping back into the red
"Mole, that makes sense and yes too simplistic [eg capital asset pricing model etc]."
It's nonsensical gibberish lol. What has the interest on a corporate bond got to do with the share price? The market will decide Vodafone's share price in relation to sector pricing. Telecoms have been pushed down by the market for quite a few years now, possibly due to the false narrative suggesting Telecom companies are locked into constant investment cycles just to stand still. I worked in Telecoms for over 30 years and saw various upgrade cycles, I don't see any more major upgrades after 5G and FTTP for at least a generation, or longer.
Passive Optical Networks use DWDM, allowing terabits of bandwidth down a single fibre and I don't see us utilising that much capacity within my lifetime, or possibly ever; Therefore, FTTP will likely be the last Access Network upgrade, as there's no major upgrade path I can see from there.
5G is an evolutionary step up from 4G, allowing more bandwidth and lower latency, once all the infrastructure's in there's nowhere else to go imo. 6G is more about applications and will likely utilise 5G frequencies for 6G IOT, or possibly use millimeter and Far Infrared wavelengths in stadiums, shopping centers, etc, to offer a Wifi like service. The problem with millimeter wavelengths is they don't work well at distance, or for mobile services and are purely line of sight, even the atmosphere attenuates the signal dramatically.
Unless a new science fiction like way of transmitting data materialises, we're fast approaching the allowable bandwidth limitations within our current understanding of physics. Telecom consultants, advising the big market players, will understand everything I've said, so no doubt the market understands this too.
Mole man. I value your opinion, but there is nothing humble about it. Please don't use that cringe worthy, I.M.H.O. It makes me want to T.O. Throw up!!
Mole, that makes sense and yes too simplistic [eg capital asset pricing model etc].
A decent half year earnings report and confirmation of outlook on Nov 15 will confirm VOD ability to cover higher interest payments. An increase in the interim dividend payment would help with the message.
BT doing well compared to vod today

>>Dividend of £0.744 @ 4% interest rate should give a share price of £1.86p imho
That misunderstands hhow big money views a dividend. VOD is all about the div, and if you can get 4% from the BoE or even 5.5% on a US treasury, then you will want 10% div yield to compensate with the risks of holding stock. so 74p next year, unless they can raise the div.
If VOD themselves are issuing bonds at 7% then why buy the shares. That will probably be the coupon on the 5bn the Germany JV wants to raise.
Ftse and america up nicely - we are struggling to stay above £1 - no doubt finish below and probably in the red
Not like Mikey to state the obvious? I guess even Mikey gets bored with himself eventually.
Sorry - thought things were obvious - down we go again - back below a £1
target 215p according to LSE broker ratings above

Roofer, that’s old news, read the E&Y update from today, also on Sky news.
Interest rates set to peak at 4% not 6% as muted, then come down. Recession only to last until early summer 2023, a resilient workforce with vacancies in every sector & you can buy a VOD share at £1.
At least a 20% upside here, possibly 40% in 2023 & 7.5% dividends whilst you wait.
Get in quick Mikey, we wouldn’t want you to miss the boat.
100.5 for me
