Well this “providing value to shareholders” is going well - not !!!!!!
Here comes the afternoon slide - probably finish in the red as usual - oh well.
There's always a droop after a solid rise.
Nothing goes up in a straight line.
Nice finish - I only do it to annoy danielh - happy days :)
Well after having his head on upside down most of the day, looks like Mikey finally realised. Sorry if Mikey thinks I am bullying him? Poor little Mikey, Ah, Shame?
Fred. "there's always a droop after a solid rise" As the actress said to the bishop! Today though, vod had a late res, erection. Can we have a good Friday? A week early? So Fred, are you buying, as your post suggests?
Already bought last Friday and feeling more confident with my 129.... for this Friday. Anything else would be hard to swallow.
Barnie Flintstone? So enough of these double entendre's ? But a good Friday finish would be fantastic, although my 131 is looking a bit unlikely?
There will only be one winner on friday guys and that's me 130 it is lol
Robleo. If it hits 1.30 tomorrow I will be well happy, I planned to sell my 9k worth at that price, as that would cover my buy/sell into an I.S.A. for tax reasons, with a nice profit after costs. But I may get greedy of course & hold on for a higher price. Great day for me today for many reasons, I won a little bit on the horses, 7
Sorry, premature posting? Cont' & I even made Mikey happy, as he loves to annoy me. So if that is what turns him on, then who am I to deny him that pleasure, So perhaps he should thank me? I bought 9k worth at 125.7. so what price do i sell at?
Dan, will be very interesting to know how much profit can be made on 9k with a 5p difference after fees and tax, something I've been thinking of doing myself, but I'm no good at those calculations
Good luck with that
Hi robleo. I don't do day trading. A mugs game unless you know what you are doing. I had to sell non I.S.A. shares & buy back in an I.S.A. otherwise i would have to pay divi tax. I don't know were you get your 5p diff from though? It costs me £10 per trade, so £20 to sell & buy back, + £45 stamp duty for the buy, so £65. On a deal of £9k (7114) shares, that is less than 1p. I will save that in divi tax in a year or 2. And of course there is always the remote chance of making a taxable cap gain? Rob, my advice is don't go there, unless for tax reasons.
Robleo. Quote. "there will only be one winner on Friday guys & that's me". Obviously rigged then? Shame on you! What about Porsche, ?? You never know??
Yea i understand that Dan, you said you bought 125.7 and poss. Sell 130.7 so was just refering to that 5p difference, so i meant how much profit on that after all costs cheers
Porche has moved on to lloyds and itv now, but he will be back when the sp drops, just going on the law of averages me, I can't get it wrong all the time ?
Hi rob. Sorry but I probably didn't explain myself. I needed to sell a total of £18k of vod shares from my non i.s.a. account & rebuy them in to my i.s.a. account, otherwise I would be liable for divi tax. I did not do it to make a profit, just to save tax. It would cost me £65 to sell £9k worth to do that, but i would save that in divi tax. So any profit I make is by buying 1st , then holding back & selling at a higher price than I bought at. You can work that out for yourself. i.e. if I sell at1.30,but buy at 1.25.7 then I am 7114 X 4.3pbetter off than if i had sold at 125.7 & bought back straight away. In this case it would be 4.3 x 7114 =£306 better off. But in case you are missing the point, I did it to save tax. I still have to sell & buy back another £9k worth? Of course if I dont get to sell at 1.30, then I could lose money. So wish me luck on that one?
So do you think Porsche is shorting all these shares? It would be good if some on here would give a intelligent, constructive opinion on that, instead of just the moronic, size of his winky comments from the usual childish idiots on here?
HI Dan not sure what Porsche motive is....shorting or whatever.... he/she is on various bb's spouting the same drivel so best to ignore i know i have bit back some times can't help myself ......think if everyone didn't respond he would just go away......best for everyone i think.....
sotonspike, Thank you for your response. I also have bit back as you say. Clearly Porsche talks nonsense, but this little winky thing is just pathetic. So as you say, best to ignore. Good day for vod today of course, & I always welcome your posts. Cheers.. I don't know if any of you on here remember last call, a few years back, but he made Porsche seem very tame? He called us all telly tubbies? He was a complete nutter. He got banned 4 times, but kept coming back for more.
Thanks for clearing that up dan, lloyds took a drop in sp today and so did itv, so Porsche got in there doing his usual stuff, so my guess is he looks through all the ftse 100 stocks every day to see which stocks take a big hit, then gets in on those boards calling everyone morons etc. For investing there, a bit sad really
I used the filter on that a**ehole Porsche several weeks ago....I have not regretted the decision.
