Clearly CDT is the issue here.
Not looking good at all!
Of trades today . Says it all really . Good to see cornerstone touching 40p again .
What of TSP?
Did VELA subscribe in the placing or buy on market?
CDT is a big worry now, wished Vela just sold the lot while in the 3’s.
Things could get very ugly quickly.
Yeah the quarterly update shouldn't be far off. see how much cash they have generated from sales and how much left in the bank.
Both having a good day thus far. The portfolio now includes 75% good or recovering shares. The wild cards remain though. CDT hanging in there just shy of $3, still awaiting Aeristech strategy, and the Mode/R8 flotation is a few more weeks away. Quarterly return soon and hopefully global markets are entering several years of growth. Big question on the next investment remains.
Well done Hoggie.
To all sensible holders: I have filtered out ‘JoeyBloggs7’ on all my share boards and it makes using them so much better. Recommend it.
Best of luck to all.
“The Company’s expectation is to generate operating losses and negative operating cash flows in the future and will need additional funding to support its current business plan. Management’s plans to alleviate the conditions that raise substantial doubt include the pursuit of additional cash resources through public or private equity or debt financings. There is no assurance that such funding will be available when needed or on acceptable terms. If additional funding is not available when required, the Company would need to delay or curtail its operations and its research and development activities until such funding is received, all of which could have a material adverse effect on the Company and its financial condition.”

More SEC filings means not good news.
Good RNS from GCON ( Rural broadband solutions). One a minor investment though.
The website is updated, looks like we have also sold 10000 shares of cdt.
More sells. Aarghh!
They need too do something. All they keep doing is selling our investments too keep the lights on and pay their wages. Eventually we will run out of things to sell.
What then? Who is going too invest in a placing or fund raise. We would have no other option too sell CDT and it could be much lower by then.
On a positive note we are still invervalued on current assets. On a negative, JN and BF are still in charge and are as bad at investing as they are communicating with shareholders.
Maybe the market has had it right all along . Value vela at its live listed uk investments and discount CDT entirely , not the other way round which most on here had been assuming .
Ensilica doing well though !
Wouldn't be a bad shout lol, a trader will either lose our money quicker or make some profit for us, either way it's worth the risk at these levels
Selling CDT needs to be part of a wider strategic review and repurpose. One feels that more of the same would really be a pointless exercise.
Sell CDT and use a professional trader to make them some money.
VELA could have sold some at $5 and over but decided not to......
I agree, we need to sell CDT and get the funds into something else, ideally something that will produce a return!
Some good early buys today.
Re the CDT chat, their quarterly is not great at all, but you’ll see similar going concern wording in all the previous docs too. Nothing new. Only new ‘bad’ news is the apparent paucity of new news.
Looks like we’ll have company soon with SYME in the 1’s also now!
For once Joe I actually agree with you. Sell now and get the money in the bank. I have always hoped CDT would come too the rescue. Now I think they Should take the money and run.
Best thing Vela can do is just SELL UP.
On May 10, 2024, Adam Sragovicz informed the Board of Directors of his intention to resign as Chief Financial Officer of the Company.
