“Cornerstone is up 500% on year lows .”
Highly irrelevant until Vela are in profit, no ?
Balanced optimism from ‘this level ‘….not blinkered nonsense JB.
You do spout a lot of blinkered nonsense on here.
Tried looking at the bigger picture and strategy ?
CSFS is STILL below the price Vela bought at.
Not good enough.
Cornerstone is up 500% on year lows .
The market sector has been terrible but my point earlier was that at these levels a good return is highly likely . If you are stuck on a high average that’s a different story .
What about all the Vela investments that have been below par ? Wouldn’t you think CDT needs to be at least above par to make up for all those failings ?
It only matters in relation to our initial investment and the exercise price of the option .
To be par on our initial investment plus the cost of the option CDT needs to be around $3.5, depending on the exchange rate . We exercised at $5 which was the most shares we could get . A CDT share price if $10 and we’ve trebled our investment . Even at current price it’s worth more than our market cap on its own !
Do you really think the current value of CDT is par ?!!
What price did CDT IPO at ??
It's the only thing in the portfolio currently that has the potential to make some money in the short to medium term. All the others are either so far underwater or too small an investment to make any difference even if they went on a mad run. Although it's not ideal being at the mercy of a random US pharma share at least it's holding value at roughly par, and at least it's been much higher than the current SP in the recent past and could easily do so again on some news. Either that or the BoD pulling something decent out of the hat. I've stopped worrying about my investment here... just about. But I'd definitely like my money back one day
It hasn’t made Vela any profit up to date has it ?
No we didn't...in return for initial investment we have over a million shares in CDT currently worth about £2.5m
Looks like game over with AZD1656. Got sold a dudd.
JoeyBloggs7: Even AZD1656 in Transplantation With Diabetes, Queen Mary coming up to a year without movement. https://clinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT05216172?tab=results
The total investment value is falling because the BoD keep selling shares at a loss. There isn’t any investment in profit and one isn’t even available for trading after two years!
I can’t see the SP improving unless a number of the shares return to profit and a strategy is revealed which could attract new investors.
It was 30p, and Cornerstone was 6.5p this last year. TSP has also more than doubled.SKL briefly was in profit but has eased back...but still up 85% on year lows.
Basically it's not great but a lot better than it was 6 months ago. So buying at these levels should in theory bring a good reward.
MWE is only 43p currently. Vela bought shares at 80p.
Still no news on Aeristech and any future strategy.
I don’t think there is much reason to invest in Vela, do you ?
Not many to be honest but bid at 0.0122 is up 10% on what I could get last week . Cornerstone has just hit year highs again. MWE had a positive RNS this morning and CDT is close to break even on our original investment...and even a modest increase would bring quite considerable profit.
CDT is making a habit of dead cat bounces rather like on the AIM market unfortunately. Shame no actual clinical trial news has been announced since AZD1656. Oh well.
Hanging on to 2030
The year 2030 , not 8.30 this evening.
Correct, if you can afford or hold on this one will blow, turbulent times
Reply to Joeybloggs (nice name), I think it is boredom and f7nds needed elsewhere.
I’m sticking with it until 2030 ( the year 2030 not half past eight)
The main market indices are all going up, just need the inflation to start falling properly before the small caps catch up!
Bargain buy really at that price
16 mil buy gone through 👍
Someone accumulating quietly.
Less than a quid through the tills so far today. If only there was a tumbleweed emoji....
