The historic performance of VAST is irrelevant to people buying now at 0.25p
Debt finance incoming and an equity stake by Swiss investor at 0.6p+
VAST is a strong buy
They can pay back the current debt. All to be revealed soon
Hit the nail on the head. There is a unique opportunity to make some serious money from these levels in the short term
Once the Swiss funding lands and the first tracnhe of Alpha is paid off then it will likely rocket significantly higher than 0.25p
Why is nobody questioning why on earth the Swiss would come in at 0.6+. What is in it for them to do so? I’m not saying they won’t, but it just seems utterly daft unless there’s a kicker somewhere.
The Swiss investor wants access to the mining markets that VAST operates in. Watch the video from this am with the VAST CEO
Because they want a strategic investment into VAST. They can obviously see how crazy the valuation is given the NAV is £200m+
It sounds like it will be a part debt part equity deal. But the equity will be done as a significant premium to the current price, as all parties can clearly see VAST is currently at the wrong price
Sell Kever, you just don’t get it how the market works
Santiago
I have traded full time since 1997. I know exactly how the market works bozzo
The question isn't why they want to invest - making a strategic investment is a perfectly plausible explanation even from the mouth of wormtongue.
The question is why they would ever do it at a much higher price than they need to. If they happen to do so, then I am sure they wont be doing it out of the goodness of their hearts, particularly given the pickle they must know Vast are in.
Not much higher price
Just higher price than present
Anyone can look back at the history of VASTs two tranche placings - the volume of pumpers arrives (who have got cheap placing shares as Axis clients) to stimulate some volume so they can offload for a 10-15% (more if they are lucky) - then as it closer to the second tranche being admitted they disappear leaving the new bits of confetti in the hands of the unfortunate as the SP sinks, leaving them underwater below the actual placing price
Maybe someone should ask why a CEO of a company with a claimed NAV of $200 million (where’s the evidence btw) has managed to destroy so much value in the company that now has an mcap of £2M still has a job?
Does that sound like an individual you want to trust and rely on?
I think AP explained that in the interview. It is obvious that Vast is worth more than £2m and is significantly undervalued. OK it’s not worth anywhere near £200m but then most mining companies MCap doesn’t equate to NAV- Vast is not alone in that. The regular placings undermine confidence in the share but hopefully when the refinancing is complete and the new investor comes in with a long term commitment that may change. Also, Vast don’t operate in a familiar jurisdiction, being in frontier areas such as Romania and Tajikistan. That doesn’t help make investing in the company an attractive proposition- we fear that which we don’t understand. Note in the interview that AP said debt / equity investment TBC but that equity investment would be at a premium - some have suggested 0.6p but I don’t know where they got that from.
2023 - year of diamonds
2024 the year of mysterious owner of a mysterious Swiss company.
Let's see how this one too pans out.
Infact 1000 pounds invested last spring at the height of the diamond story is worth 60 pounds at most today.
Believe AP at your financial peril.
To be fair the historic parcel belongs to Vast and if the company doesn’t get it, that will be down to a corrupt Government not AP. The mysterious Swiss investor (with whom Vast already has a relationship) won’t be a mystery this time next month. As a LTH I’m as peeved as anyone but it does now seem like we are about to recover and progress. It was an encouraging interview this morning- AP didn’t have to give it and he’s well aware that Sara Lowther wouldn’t be easy on him (I don’t think there’s any love lost between those two LOL).
Wakeyinvestor: I don’t think anyone blames Mr. Prelea for losing the historic parcel. What people blame him for is his quite unjustified, sustained statements of confidence in its return to Vast. And his belief that Vast as presently constituted has a NAV OF $200mm! Of course, with no recourse other than the sale of the diamonds to meet Vast’s pressing debts, it’s understandable that he persists in misleading the owners of the Company he manages in this way and in the medium term the only people who are losing from this are new investors lured in by the ignorant nonsense being peddled on these chat boards about NAV, the availability of the diamonds and profitability.
