Oofy...deramping as usual
Many are here for the copper etc...
Don't forget we have many other assets to fall back on, perhaps now is the time to reopen Blueberry or Manlaia, Vast is just not about the diamonds
Keep up with the boring deramping though
It appears that GSA Capital are not expecting good news on the parcel of diamonds front in the near term.
đđđ
Maybe theyâre too busy renegotiating the debt, meeting with the Zimbabwean government and building bridges (not that one) in Tajikistan to get on the I T.
Yes Wontongue I am fully aware of that RNS but the point I made was that VAST havenât updated the website to show the revised- post consolidation number of shares in issue

Vast Resources plc(âVastâ or the âCompanyâ)
Results of General Meeting, Capital Reorganisation& Total Voting Rights
Vast Resources plc, the AIM-listed mining company, announces that at the Companyâs General Meeting held earlier today, all resolutions were passed and as such, the capital reorganisation set out in the Notice of General meeting will be completed. The proxy results for the resolutions are set out below:
Resolution 1: 84.10% in favourResolution 2: 86.15% in favourResolution 3: 85.89% in favour
Application has been made for the 928,607,357 new ordinary shares (âNew Ordinary Sharesâ) to be admitted to trading on AIM (âAdmissionâ). It is expected that Admission will become effective and dealing will commence in respect of the New Ordinary Shares on 1 March 2024. The ISIN Code for the New Ordinary Shares will be GB00BQ7WTT20 and the SEDOL will be BQ7WTT2.
Total Voting Rights
As result of the passing of the Resolutions, and as announced on 14 February 2024, the number of ordinary shares in issue has been reduced by a factor of six and as from Admission will stand at 928,607,357 ordinary shares of 0.1p each. This figure may then be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in Vast under the FCAâs Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
Without personally knowing enough about PREM to be fair to that company CanMax must have had a high level of confidence over the size/grade/profit potential to offer that sort of pre-payment
The contrast to VAST who had to sign over first lien security over their primary asset as collateral for a (now noticeably past the latest of many repayment extension deadlines) loan is immense
FYI
Hawaii5O - on what basis are VAST and PREM peers apart from being AIM micro cap mining/resources companies - of which there are hundreds of other?
As you say PREM havenât actually supplied any product or produced any profit yet so itâs actually their mcap which is the anomaly rather than VASTs.
The one obvious similarity is the number of shares that have been issued but if you back calculated by a factor of 600 (two consolidations) than VAST have diluted shareholders far more than GR at PREM
Bargain- seeker - what on earth do you mean by very little stock?
From the VAST website -
The number of ordinary shares in issue: 5,571,644,142 as of 6 February 2024.
There are no shares held in treasury.
Percentage of shares not in public hands: as of 6 February 2024, 0.63% of the Companyâs securities were not in public hands.
So over 99% of shares are in free float
Shocking but unsurprising that they havenât updated the shareholder information post consolidation - another indication of poor attention to detail
The silence from Andrew Prelea is interesting, his last interview was on 18th January, just over 2 months ago. I had heard some 'noise' from various sources that a number of PR outlets would no longer interview him due to concerns over reputational damage and his vagueness over the historic parcel, after all he has ben peddling the same line for over a year now.
In his last interview he was suggesting the lenders would remain supportive to VAST as they had understanding of what was going on in the background, he continued to suggest there was much more value in VAST than the diamonds.
The valuation anomaly VAST v PREM is staggering given PREM has failed to deliver any lithium in over 12 months to Canmax their offtake partner yet have received a prepayment of $30m, PREM m/cap is still circa ÂŁ70m with VAST circa ÂŁ3m. In my view VAST is materially undervalued against peers.
I suspect something is about to break and it needs to be positive, time will tell however I feel the VAST investment proposition from current levels is compelling. Just one item of positive news and this could easily multi-bag from a very low base.

AWESOME...NOT!
Usually happens to see some pump up here just before the placing like uog, clone ,Boil etc..
Iâll tell you want some people holding here dreaming that the diamonds will come before placing GLAđ¤
Whođ
Even if the Diamonds turned up tomorrow a placement would be required to pay for ongoing costs. The diamonds will not be sold within a day of being released. It's going to take a while to sort. Currently outside of Zimbabwe government/bank officials no one knows when these diamonds will be released. AP definitly hasn't got a clue with his days, to being close statements. It's been over 13 months with no transparent details on their release.
