So what do you think they should do, RNST? Put a little note at the bottom of the RNS saying, 'By the way, everything was done in accordance with AIM Rules'? It should be taken for granted everything would be done by the book. I would imagine that anyone suggesting the contrary has an ulterior motive.
Heid, buzz off as you´re clueless.
Selfish
So you think the fact that one of the Directors was the CoSec and Produced the accounts and financial statements for the company from which they bought the asset is not worthy of a mention ? Which side of the table was Godson on the sellers or the buyers?
It would have simply been good governance to clarify this at the time of the transaction whether it was technicalky related party transaction or not… don’t you think?
That's crap RNST. They will have run this RNS past the nomads, and therefore it must be technically correct, no may or may nots about it.
Is this the same Tom Winfrith who made curious allegations regarding Zenith Oil in the Congo?
How did that one turn out??
Nawty., nawty.
Winnifroth going off half ****ed.
The RNS was clear it said the upcoming Royalty deal was with two US institutions.
The issue is not that rather the previous purchase from CPRL who has Godson as Co Sec (NOT a Director)
but also employs Godson and Co as their accountants.
Whilst this may or may not technically be a related party transaction. It would have been appropriate to highlight the relationship (to avoid this very situation) and state whether Godson stood aside when it was discussed/approved by the Board.
Suppose that's our Dave's fault too ?!
Bang my head on a wall.
Thats not true is it ?
We just had an RNS
Sorry who wrote that ??

You know I now actually take my hat off to Tom Winnifrith who in todays paid comment sent to me by a friend and in fact I am going to subscribe to his paid for blog at £5.99 purely on what he has posted today.
I stand by my comments over the weekend on the strategy and possible placing at Union Jack Oil (UJO) which I forced it to ‘fess up to on Friday. I am not a happy bunny. But there is another thing that rather frustrates me.
Union says that the main rationale for the £5 million placing it is, or is not, doing is to buy a further 25% interest in the Claymore Piper Complex Royalty Units. Now I would rather that E&P companies stuck to E&P rather than thinking that they are smart accumulators of assets. But that is just my view.
What perturbs me a bit is that the vendor here is apparently Cambridge Petroleum Royalties Limited one of whose directors is Raymond Godson. And he is also a director of er….Union Jack Oil (UJO). I asked Union jack to comment on whether the proposed transaction was a related party deal but it declined to do so.
I am sure that there is no real issue here but I just don’t like related party deals. Call me old fashioned, boring and a stick in the mud if you want but it is just how I look at life. My preference, with the shares now just 22p to sell is that Union jack calls the placing and the acquisition off and lets the drill bit at West Newton do the talking. I suspect Mr. Market would agree with me.

Just doing company searches Mr Raymond Godson is down as Company Secretary of Cambridge Petroleum Ventures surely the NOMAD should have warned that the previous purchase was a related party transaction?
I am getting on the FCA regarding this and asking the NOMAD were they aware of this whenthe transaction.
