Does anyone know how to "move to a certificated position on the Cypriot register of the Company."? I'm getting a certificate for my shareholding, but do not know who holds the Cypriot register of the Company. Does anyone know? Contact details would be good, although I guess I can get them online if I know who the relevant company are. I've asked on the Company Q&A section, but no response as yet.

Probably has to pick up in person from some obscure town in the middle of Russia after they move from Cyprus, lost money myself but I didn’t volunteer to shoot myself in the foot when the voting took place to remove the board
A tragic result for shareholders. Hate to see people lose money and opportunity. This is exactly why I wrote previously about the insanity of supporting Kononov and his ilk. Voting for a Russian boss and a Russian board rather than a British board and a British market listing is simply masochistic. Crimea, anyone? Donbass? Ossetia? Oligarchs? Novichok? No? All fake news? Voting to give such people control seemed like a good idea, did it? What's next? A voluntary lobotomy? Despite the unadulterated idiocy of the EGM result I do sincerely wish everyone good luck and hope that shareholders get their money back ASAP. Finger crossed on your behalf.
so how do we go about getting paper certificates, do we contact our broker?
Guys: I just don't see how making totally "doomed prediction" of UEN's future (our money's future i mean) will help. After all, Alders did put over $20M for its 44.5% back in 2013, Mr Kononov has his reputable to maintain, let along the expectation of local govt....(refer to ADLER IMPEX S.A. circular doc.of 18th Feb and don't bother telling me they are all thieves pls!)
Since UEN's asset is huge (compare with its insignificant debt) and will be continue producing oil (cash), I just can't see how the new BOD to commit daytime robbery by ignoring the interests of shareholders. AIM is not the only rule maker and Cyprus is not totally lawless.
As long as BOD stick with laws and keep its independent audit, I am not ready to accept a written off like some of you....simply because there are so much BOD can do to create value and we are still shareholders, same as Mr Kononnov....GLA
Looks like most people shot themselves in the foot by being fooled into voting down the board
Indeed. Another lesson under the belt and we all move on. I am now a committed Russophobe - at least as far as investing is concerned. What concerns me is that the way things are going we risk becoming more like them and not the other way round..... that wasn’t what was supposed to happen !
Yes, well the board continuity item looks like utter bullshit, and the other excuses look dodgy. Oh well, a write off then.
Similar situation at Frontera... More and more AIM companies are going private at the expense of Share holders.... HMMM all looking very fishy...
cancellation of AIM shares
Looks like going private to me another heavy loss if it is for me
Because Allenby ran the clock down by resigning 8 days before the EGM (very low behaviour imo) the new Board, who have only been able to act with the authority of the Company since the 22nd, have only had 3 weeks to sort out a new nomad. I have no idea what it involves, but Allenby and the old board have made life difficult for them. There could be grounds for an appeal to AIM for an extension about this. Could be Allenby again though as nomad.
Anyway, we won't know until the end of the week. If it goes I'll be annoyed, but not wiped out. Had worse hits in the past. As you say, live and learn. Still got the fingers crossed for now though.
I can’t see a Nomad touching it. But chin up Uracca, we can learn much more from our mistakes than our successes. It was a relatively cheap lesson in my case I hope the same can be said for you and everyone else for that matter.
Yes, it is the last day they can gve notice to hold the AGM in March. And given that that was their stated intention, mits disappointing that they've missed the target.
But overwhelmingly more important is getting a nomad signed up, and avoiding delisting. We have a full week left in hand for that to happen. I did hope it would be announced this week. But c'est la vie.
Come on Board, the last thing I want is Shrager dancing in the street shouting 'I told you so'.
Frankly I don't really care about the AGM, it will probably be somewhere I can't get to. But I really want to see the Urals Energy show back on the road.
The minimum full period of notice for all meetings is 14 days, except for the AGM of a PLC, which is 21 days. So its 21 days. Today is the last day of the notice period to hold an AGM for us (UEN PLC)
“The Board plans to hold the annual general meeting in March 2019. The agenda of the meeting will be announced separately.”.....It seems the new bod have fallen short on their first promise.
I have been notified by Halifax that no nomad has yet been found and we have until the 15th to get one or we are delisted. They need to get their finger out on this and let us all know what's going on.
Let's not forget Allenby's past record as as nomad paragons of probity. Keep reading down the article, you'll get to them. Honestly, they make the new Board here look like Puritans.

90% likely!!!! Lol. I take it that u sold up some time ago??!!
Urraca - you miss the point, the inheritance will be safe - in fact in better shape if it doesn't have to be shared with us...
I'm sure Kononov's daughter would be cock-a-hoop if daddy did that to her inheritance. Anyway, lets wait and see.
Disagree: worst case is that UEN listing gets cancelled, the company goes into administration and gets wound up, the loans are written off and the assets are sold to a third party at a distressed price which doesn’t cover the liabilities. Just the worst case scenario but I would put it (or something similar) at about 90% likely.
Kovonov owns the same type of equity as everyone else, worse case they get listed on whatever exchange is the most tax beneficial to him.
Chin up, hmmm. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. You're already braced for the worst, so anything positive can only be a bonus. If it goes I'll be annoyed, but I'll live.
I’m afraid I don’t share your optimism. I mean why would they bother ? - no nomad, listing gets cancelled and UEN (the London listed entity) disapears into the mist.... sadly I’ve written this one off.
