and Clearly not Pi's Michaeliz1 !
Agreed Nickel. At least tullow holding its own today amongst the mkt turmoil. I feel sure there will be good news re poo and sp but not necessarily in the next few weeks so the game now is just to hold on
Oil moving all over the place, 4% off the lows presently!!
Thanks Will
Try Beetham
did a search against that but it didn't come up.
Need his name that he uses on here. Thanks.
Stephen Beetham
What was the name that our new 3% shareholder goes by on here? Thanks
Those hedges but critically the recent transaction and the closing of it. The market also knows TLW has got a really credible leader in the new CEO and at the end of the day everything has a price. Remember TLW has a 8.5% short on this so there's monster upside on them lot covering also. Good recovery play this.
those hedges holding up the SP imo
That $75m will certainly come in handy !
Looking at the price in oil today.... Good job TLW have so much hedged for 2021.
Yup, I think FID will happen by YE20.
Total (and Uganda gov) have made it clear that they want to expedite this development, but there are ongoing cases regarding human rights violation regarding the pipeline.
But nothing a small cash payment via a fine won't solve..
Total have made big steps here with both the Gov of Uganda and the Gov of Tanzania on approval, FID will likely happen this quarter.
Slift - what about Total and FID on Uganda. You reckon they will complete as per those press reports a couple of weeks back by year end? That's another $75m that comes into the coffers on completion.
I'd give it a timeframe of between now and July 2022 for the entire $1b from disposal.
I'm all for raising $1b, but in the current environment, I don't see the whole $425m being raised without the sale of Kenya..
Slift - it's going to come from somewhere in the portfolio. I didn't quote $1bn in disposals, the CEO did.
Nickel,
You have no doubts the other half is coming.
So where is the other half ($425m) going to come from?
Scrod - i'm not saying it will be before the CMD for the minute but what i am saying is that the ceo has made it clear that they are going for $1bn in disposals. So far he has delivered on half of that and I have no doubts the other half is coming. If it comes before the CMD, even better :)
Nickel_Investor, I can safely predict that no asset disposal announcements are on the cards until after CMD and more than likely not for some time after that if at all.
Nickel_Investor,
No, I don't think so.
If anything, the CEO made it clear that sale of Kenya is suspended and that they are only open to attractive offers on their other (exploration) assets.
Ghana - Not for sale
Gabon - Not for sale
Kenya - Not for sale
At the last presentation, the CEO made it clear they would be doing other disposals, they are going for the $1bn target.
THe first time they announced the Total deal this spiked something like 60% in a day. The same will happen again but this time the landing will be softer due to the financial implications on the balance sheet. As i say, a time to be loading, not selling!
This is one to buy and hold.
