Quisty what you should ask instead, if the rescue deal get approved... how long will it take them to burn the new injected cash?!?
How long before it goes BUST?
people from Thomas Cook do you remember what happened to people from Enron? How did they fall out of the windows of skyscrapers? How many of them survived by chance?Give 85% of the company to the Chinese for 850 million and 15% to creditors for 1.7 billion? You will respond personally and it will be extremely unpleasant.
... on your off-topic suggestion that Barclays was a better bet than TCG (which came across as a comparator & example rather than a thinly veiled plug as you so often see on discussions). Barclays was about 136-138 then. It’s now 156 & increased by 5% yesterday.
So many relevant posts not sure what to digest first. Maybe a cheeseburger with bacon
IllB. I obviously misjudged you. You must be one of the nouveau riche. Innit!
How civilised! Hope you were on the Haut medoc.
Not great for business having it all over Sky again.
Even the plan approved. the legal separation between TO and Airline will not be effective before decemeber
this I what we are waiting to see... I don't mange his agenda :)
one thing I'm 99.99% about TCG will continue business trading over October ... in witch form and under witch conditions no one knows at 100%
simply they don't have the same motivations and the power to influence things..
PI are here to make money and they are subject to company decision without too much possibilities to changes things. this guys are in different situations ... they influence , make noise and alternatively propose different solution witch me and you can't
all speculations .... nobody know... but if someone comes and say this guys invest XX Millions and they are sitting watching their money burning .... I will not believe it for a second.
who know...may be will be the case? or may be he manage a big stake on buying bonds? he may vote against?
may be he want to see it going admin....and then will be the auctions.... with cheaper price and write off of all debit....starting from a blank sheet
stupid questions : why people still buying TCG share after all this news? crazy? they want to burn money? gamblers?
“Bonds are still tradeable, they can sell them, also Project Mercury suggests that they may recover some cash if liquidation occurs”
They didn’t exit at 50% discount what makes u think they will exit now?!?
The 25% you’re referring to is for the CDS which can be submitted to the court saying we took a speculative position and the bondholders wants to **** us and do a D4E. 51% of the bondholders is needed to go ahead with the deal.
Sharedealer one thing for sure, they have been cooking their books
Barkley that might have been true 6 weeks ago, but now they are too close to the end to be playing games! Fosun will loose patience soon with constantly mounting costs and playground antics and will end up pulling the plug. This appears to be the only game in town, time is ticking and with every day that goes by this is looking more and more likely the outcome will not be good for anyone. IMHO
It’s like watching godfather movie
it's part of the game. get more and put pressure to get the plan approved.
in another word. they tell them this Is the only option and you need to contribute more if you don't want to see your money going bust.
@illbe
The creditors and bondholders have no choice but to go ahead with the financing. TCG has a negative equity not much for them to salvage if they push it into admin
I thought my wife was a cash burner!!
They initially needed £300m headroom, that changed to £750m then £900m and now £1bn.
Of course the deal with Fosun will go through. 100% guaranteed. All this negativity that is being put out is smoke and mirrors to put pressure on stakeholders to accept the deal.
So did FlyBE - they got 1p in the end although it was as high as 14p leading up to the point when the sword came down. Anyone buying this stock is deluded or has money to burn. It's a case of Pass the Parcel...
'Hopes and Dreams' was mean't to say.
The same reason Debenhams did, hoped and dreams (I was one of them) we learn from our mistakes but this will go the same way. Debenhams traded in a very similar way right to the end.
