regarding their statement in today's rns about actively considering implementing a further buy back after the AGM...
The AGM is TOMORROW so why was there a need to make a statement that they're CONSIDERING IT..
It is fairly standard for company's to have an AGM resolution to allow them to buy back shares. It didn't need to be mentioned in a rns, the day before the AGM.
I think today's rns could be to try and calm any agitated PIs ahead of tomorrow's AGM..
Carrot and stick, springs to mind..
Held this since Blinkx days, lost alot. Gave up yesterday and sold up entire holding. Cant win em all.
If they have the cash, and are still profitable, they should buy back 10-20 million quids worth down here.
I think the 2 rns, 1 yesterday and 1 today about Uber will damage TAP's reputation on releasing reliable, transparent information... they seem to be in a habit of publishing vague and contradictory information... The rthm's huge revenue miss, the not anticipating the ex-CEO selling his holding then the placing etc etc...
Who will believe what they say next?
The court case is months away, so I think it'll be a while before we get some clarity on this...
When it comes to US courts dealing with commercial disputes between a US company & a non US company the judgments can be quixotic & arbitrary. So, however strong Taptica's defence - & we only have their word for that - there is no guarantee that they will exit this situation without pain. In addition, when it comes to governance matters Israeli companies have a chequered record.
,if it had been a straight company,,i would have been concerned but uber are as bent as a nine bob note,,i topped up yesterday
UT for 450 shares and drop to 90p at 09;00.....what's that???.....
Slip in, just 20% and whip it out. Wham bam.
The claim imo, is what Trump would call “fake news”.
Gla
No direct contact with Uber, and this lost 40% yesterday lol with rns this should recover well today
Have been watching this share for around year now, certainly an excellent time for the share buyback,
Second one given even more faith that yesaterday drop was totally unjustified.
Slow rise back up imo. Storm in a tea cup. Mentalists out to play which means buy.
So Taptica doesn't have any direct contract with Uber yet Uber is suing us? How does that work then? Surely Uber sues Fetch and Fetch sues Tap. Quite incredible that we lost 30% market cap on this news.
Should be a lively AGM. Who is going tomorrow? May need a couple of drinks before hand. From my rough calculation they have about the same cash left in the buy back fund as they spent yesterday. Don’t see how they can’t now issue an extensive update tomorrow morning.
The company bought back even more shares yeaterday (150k for just over 100p).....now what does that tells???....SP should rise this morning, but yet again you just never know here.....
So, anyone worked out the probability that over 100 different unconnected third party ad tech companies are collectively guilty of exactly the same fraudulent concealment, negligence, and unfair completion claims? Bmac
Well seems I’m a share holder again. I had an order at 79p I’d forgotten about. Seems there were a few people buying a that level too. Think it will be a quick trade.
One thing is certain:
stt1 will continue to gorge on his bilge.
Like the dog returns to his vomit and the sow returns to her mire...
Tardis,
"Everything that has happened in the last nine months has a stench to it."
Last 18months at both rthm, pre-TAP merger, and TAP...
After the merger completed, Finncap comments about TAP BoD have only just started to look at rthm's full books and operations raised questions...
as did:
2 rthm CFO's resigning within a 5 period, just before the rthm/TAP merger.
rthm CFO resigning just weeks before the rthm/TAP merger completed.
Just weeks ago, the ex-CEOs shares being sold via a deeply discounted placing, the price still being substantially higher than today's closing sp...
I doubt there will be any sensible outcome from the AGM...
Are any of the snr execs up for re-election?
Answer: YouAppi, Bidmotion, Hydrane, and AdAction Interactive
All are privately owned and smaller than us by employee numbers. YouAppi seems the biggest and was 15th on Deloitte's Technology Fast 500 Bay Area List last November.
Does anybody know who the other four main adtech companies are that Uber has filed suit against?
Well, it's hard to know where to start after a day like today.
The company seem to be steadily churning out one value-destroying announcement after another. Just when you think there could be a share price recovery around the corner, something else unexpected arises. Added to that, the market seems to be amplify any negative news producing a price fall disproportionate to the material impact of the news.
The price fall in the last hour was on heavy volume, which raises the question of whether an II, director or large private investor decided this was one piece of crappy news too many and dumped their stock.
Everything that has happened in the last nine months has a stench to it.
Just the AGM to look forward to now.
Dgog, yes and I feel sorry for those who are in much deeper than me. Fortunately, I invested here relatively late (2014) and it is only a modest percentage of my investments.
Hey MC...I guess my post was so important I had to say it twice.
Oh well.
