Going 'very well here'..,,
news will start to land and with only approx 15% shares in free float this could be a great entry point. Still under the radar but not sure for how much longer
" The imprimatur of a BAFTA has as much impact in that market as it does in the UK and will certainly assist our current discussions with broadcasters in both markets."
for some reason...
of these babies. I was given a strong hint that things are going very well here
Thanks for the posting. The line about '' corporate story- telling'' made me smile.......
http://tinyurl.com/zwu47rv Ten Alps (LON:TAL) chief executive Mark Wood tells Proactive Investors that there is a lot of talent in their programme-making business, ripe for development. "What we want to focus on for growth is the television market, television programme production and video-led communications, and these build on the phenomenal skill set which is within the company" he said. Wood said the firm sees the future in corporate story-telling and is looking to broaden their reach in the U.S market which has larger budgets. "Looking at that US market is where the market for quality programming is growing" he said.
Very quiet on this board - just checking in. Over the last few days trades seem to have increased, along with more sizable trades. More news soon hopefully ? IMO.
Ten Alps, the international TV and cross-platform content business, announces that it has granted options over 15,000,000 ordinary shares in the capital of the Company (the "Options") to certain directors of Ten Alps. The Options, which have a three-year life, are exercisable at 2.875p per share, being the closing middle-market share price on the trading day prior to the date of grant, and vest in stages subject to the Company's share price (the "Share Price") hitting certain targets. 25 per cent. of the Options will vest upon the Share Price reaching 4p for 30 consecutive trading days and the number of vested Options will increase on a straight-line basis thereafter until the Share Price reaches 5p for 30 consecutive trading days, at which point all Options will have vested. The following directors have been granted Options: Director No. of Options granted Resultant share option holding Mark Wood (CEO) 12,500,000 12,500,000 Peter Bertram (Chairman) 500,000 2,750,000* Luke Johnson (Non-executive Director) 1,000,000 1,000,000 Jonathan Goodwin (Non-executive Director) 1,000,000 1,000,000
The plans the BBC have look interesting, there's quite a list & Include - Reduction in entertainment programmes More funding for factual programming ( will Ten Alps benefit ! ) Is something similar going on at Channel 4 - its all very intersting !
A turnaround at last. Results are positive.
Results: 6-months to June 30 all 3 divisions returned to profitability at an operational level. Growth: Already achieved 40% of target full-year revenues before the end of current Q1. Exciting times.
Results to year end June 30th expected sometime. I have pencilled in next Wednesday (September 30th) as the most likely release date, but could be later. I guess the rise yesterday might have sparked a bit of interest here. For me (and I am sure a lot of others), the most interesting results period is the 6 months December 31st to June 30th. Eyes will be on whether they have returned to profitability during that period. I have looked into this a lot and have decided to take the risk of buying in before the results are out. There is only a very small proportion of the shares in this company in general circulation. The rest are held by institutions or people within the company. I think it could therefore require a very large premium to buy shares when the results are released. This is still a bit of a risky share, but I personally class it as far far less risky than a lot of other AIM shares. Sensible CEO and BoD with good track records, booming sector, very few finance concerns following the recent restructuring, £20+ million of sustainable annual revenue and now all signs pointing towards being on the cusp of returning to profitability.
Expecting news soon?
I think there is potential here and that it's worth the risk at these levels. I am expecting a return to profitability when the next results are released, especially with the inclusion of reef. Rough expectations for 12 months: £24m rev, £1.2m net prof. If any sort of profitability returns then I think an inflection point will have been reached and it will be onwards and upwards from there. Television is certainly a booming sector.
IMO. £10M MCAP, lot of future success built in already.
Thanks for your feelings, I am sorry your investment is showing a loss & i understand why you feel this way, i have also experienced investments that perform in this way, but also have benefited with others. I guess i am looking at Ten Alps differently to anyone whose investment has lost value & what i find interesting is that "Wood says Ten Alps are now operating profitably for first time in 6 years. The focus was now on growing digital revenues & launching new events in business markets" so the revenues wiil also have grown with the aquisation of Reef . It is a bit missleading to watch the current share price get shown on graphs as an increase when in actual fact the shares were subdivided ( ten old shares were converted to one new share)- so the current share price is not far off its low & there has been no rise in value (yet) so the followers of the charts will be getting missleading information & making decisions on misleading information ! I calculated the amount of shares held by major investors & the board which i worked out to be about 90% (373 million shares) out of a total of 419 million shares - leaving only 10% in the hands of small investors - (hopefully my maths is correct) The company hope to break into the lucrative world of TV streaming services such as Netflix & Amazon. Having looked at the type of work Reef produce it would be interesting as a shareholder to get involved & come up with ideas for productions - if you are a shareholder doesnt that excite you that maybe your idea is taken seriously - "put your money where your mouth is" does pretty well ! So maybe there is good news for the small share holders whose investments have lost a lot of value, but in actual fact if you are still a shareholder, then your investment may start to make you feel happy ! its quite incredible to watch very very small numbers of shares being traded but having a big impact on the share price . What would the be odds for a name change ? So Silvernight i hope you have held onto your investment as you say its a gamble & if your allready in, is it a bigger gamble to get out at these prices ?? Good Luck :)
You're brave if you do. Holders of several years standing (like myself) have lost over 99% of their investment. It's a gamble.
Its all gone a bit quiet here ! Have been watching Ten Alps for a while & I thought that it all looked exciting & that there would be lots of chatter about the latest developments for Ten Alps, the deal with Reef television & now the latest deal with Chrysalis , Plus all the new board members & investors, something positive is happening surely ! Im thinking of putting some in my ISA - Does that sound like a good idea ??
consolodation
Think you'll find its a consolidation
Pump and dump
100% gamble
