Are we thinking they will want pozz in the process of this new green cement? I’ve been in this share for a while and bought in at 0.28 quite heavily so I’m massively down. I’m waiting for the tide to turn and it’s been a rough ride the last few years seeing the SP plummet?
No one else thinking why they picked Reno
- I suspect they will need substantial volumes of Pozz - happy days :) time to load up folks the tide is rapidly changing here ..... tick tock

Brimstone negotiates funding for new cement plant with US Department of Energy
26 March 2024
Brimstone is negotiating a US$189m Federal award with the Department of Energy to finance the construction of a new decarbonised cement plant. This plant will produce up to 140,000t/yr of Ordinary Portland Cement and supplementary cementitious materials, reducing CO₂ emissions by 120,000t/yr.
Brimstone's process uses carbon-free calcium silicate rocks, reducing its CO₂ footprint. In July 2023, Brimstone's cement met ASTM C150 standards, confirming the effectiveness of its decarbonised process. The company is preparing to construct a pilot plant near Reno, Nevada.

Deals are being done in Europe:
Titan Cement International buys Vezirhan pozzolana quarry
30 January 2024
Turkey: Titan Cement International (TCI) has acquired concession rights to the Vezirhan pozzolana quarry in East Marmara. The quarry will help TCI to expand its low-carbon cement production capacity. By 2030, the company aims to reduce its CO2 emissions by 35% from 1990 levels, and include 50% green products in its portfolio.
Titan Group Eastern Mediterranean regional director Christos Panagopoulos said “Access to Vezirhan quarry’s strong reserves potential and high-quality material will allow Titan to further broaden the portfolio of low-carbon cementitious products available to its customers. The quarry has access to a deep port and railway transport, facilitating both land and seaborne distribution across Titan's global locations.”
Group chief sustainability and innovation officer Leonidas Canellopoulos said “Being future-ready for a net zero world is more than just an ambition for Titan, and the acquisition of concession rights in Vezirhan is part of our solid roadmap that entails over 100 initiatives, covering the entire scope of our geographic operations and span of our value chain.”

Love your still sobbing safe
Love the reference to Sunshine Resources Icebank :)
Yep Terrafi,
Disney Land, Warren Buffet & Meta - but not necessarily in that order.
Did Tosla have a 12 month extension to Do their DD on what sunshine resources have to offer as a buy or jv
So with PC saying he hopes to get a deal sorted within the next couple of months - anyone have an ideas who the 3 companies we are in discussions with are likely to be ..... ?
Historically we have always drifted back on any gain . Cheetham needs to keep the momentum going before news , however I firmly believe his totally incapable of the that task
it certainly would, but i'd rather something happen to get it to 0.2 rather than 0.475, so i dont have to s*****, when i look at the red figure showing on my holding. tick tock..
0.2p would still be classed as a fail as it was a lot higher than that when PC said a deal was imminent.
BOTS - take a couple of hours over the weekend to research / investigate - seek and you shall find !
PC may actually pull this off over the coming months and lay the golden egg - a good time to buy and with a little momentum who know where the SP will be before the deal .......... 0.2 by end of May ??
Terrafin - what is your source of cement cos switching away from flyash? This is imo the critical success factor for pozzolan ahead. And therefore important to Sunrise.
Indeed - some buys coming in now -a tick up on its way - perhaps the worm has turned.
Has PC got a decent deal in the pipe - hope so
I notice CO2 friendly cement is on trend now and many of the big boys are starting to produce it with blends to replace fly ash ..... could this actually be our year !
A steady (if unspectacular) no of buys since the director purchase and the bid has been creeping up. I can see the ask moving up soon..
I agree that it's most likely to be a sale rather than a JV but I don't see how "the buyer has all the cards on this one" as there are 3 companies seeking to acquire. This is supported by Justone's feedback from the AGM in which PC confirmed it wasn't a question of price but timescale, in that at mid- February PC couldn't predict with certainty when the deal would drop, other than the first half.
It will be a complete sale of the CS project. Sunrise team bring nothing to operationalising the deposit so why have them still involved. Maybe the price will include a net royalty - but I reckon the Buyer has pretty much all the cards on this one.
Does PC take fees from Sunrise? If so, compare those to the cost of this top up.
I don’t think there’s any doubt that PC believes things will happen soon and it will finally be transformational. I think it’s most likely to involve the sale of the CS Project and a significant capital sum, although there may be some element of future royalty. With 3 parties involved each will have their own take on how they wish to structure it but the essence, I think, will be cash.
Interesting that you should raise Hazen, which I think will certainly form part of the discussions and may form a follow on to the main deal, although it’s not at the same stage as the CS project, so an option perhaps, but its high quality is confirmed by Lab results so it has to be a target.
As for timeframe, PC’s purchasing may suggest something sooner than 3 months, but we will see.
Whatever’s going on behind the scenes it seems pretty evident it’s a good time to buy, that’s what he’s conveying to the market.
PC buying shares on the open market is a signal to the market that perhaps he sees significant changes coming in the short term probably with the CS Project.
With that in mind what would be the best outcome for us ?
- I would rather see a complete sale of the CS project to one of the big boys rather than a JV with revenue stream.
- Do we think the 3 interested parties PC is in discussions with are also considering the Hazzen project as perhaps part of a bigger deal to include with the CS ?
Could this finally be coming together, all will all be revealed hopefully within the next 3 months ............ ?
*0.0427
23 M at 0.427 is certainly not peanuts if the share price goes up to 0.5 - 1p + this year - which is not unrealistic if the right deals come in ........ :)
