322 paid! Seems to be several 5000k purchases today at about £15k each. Could someone be building a stake? Suggest you say the word Coms as much you possibly can :)
according to posts on the advfn board, any loose stock is being snapped up..... seems to me that there are buyers ready to take up any stock that is sold.... so market makers take any sells and hand it over to the buyers are who are happily taking anything that is given to them.
Hi Paisley, sentiment I would guess. This share has entered a bit more into the public domain. COMS (I can hardly say the name without smiling) is in a similar space so that could be a factor as well (if people are doing their homework). I'm not back in. Itching to be back in but need to find the funds as I couldn't help redirecting my SNTY proceeds last week elsewhere. I don't tend to keep a large cash float so I have to move things around/take profits or whatever. I'm trying to be patient and hoping it will retrace to give me a decent re-entry level but I have rather forboding feeling about it!!
Up nearly 12% today. Anyone got any ideas why?
Bear in mind that 8,333 seats represents £1 mill top line revenue. It would need an average of 700 seats per month to achieve that over a year.
thank you for that.
https://www.synety.com/app/downloads/pdfs/investors/2013-03-25%20Results%20for%20Year%20Ended%2031%20Dec%202012.pdf Graph on last page of above seems to run to mid feb 13 and show acquisition of about 550 seats in 2013 which might suggest a q1 acquisition rate of 300 or so per month. However, on the basis that rate of acquisition has been accelerating and that the company continues to add integrations with additional platform, there could be considerable upside in this calendar year alone. 500 or 600 per month would not seem to unreasonable- and I think I understate this.
Chairman's Statement Annual report p5. https://www.synety.com/app/downloads/pdfs/investors/Annual%20Report%20and%20Financial%20Statements%202012.pdf I've also just noticed a slightly more detailed version in a presentation on the investors section of the website.
just read your comment : "Re the seats number they've not really added to our knowledge as they have already shown a circa 1150 position on the graph" Was this graph shown at the AGM ? also the 1150 figure.. is that the current position or is that figure as atl March end 2013 ? tIA
Just sold here and am going to keep an eye on COMS and mabe put the funds in there if the price drops back a bit from this morning's high. Dibs, I think you're probably right about SNTY in the short term, I'll be keeping an eye on here and watching out for a placing to buy back in. I might be wrong, but more than happy to have taken a 60% profit from the Zenergy shares I originally bought and had effectively written off!
Paisley - I think we're going to have a very exciting ride with COMS. Do some research on them and I think you'll see what I mean. They have a young, hungry, ambitious boss at the helm. Very innovative as you will discover from researching. One other thing, after I bought in I looked at their Facebook page which was empty. I posted a comment like "Come on COMS get your name known on here. Within 10mins someone from COMS had posted back saying something like "Watch this space David, exciting year for COMS". They weren't kidding were they?
Well, I was pleased to take a small stake in COMS this morning- got in at 1.49 and an MCAP of 5 million, which is still only a third of the value of the contract announced. Did very little research I'm afraid to say but they have demonstrated that they can pull off big deals and I'm hopeful more will follow. I like this cloud telephony sector and am happy to have a small spread of small investments here. Yes I regret not being in lower, but the upside is very exciting and if one of them flies I'll do all right.
Yes Dibs, keep the tips coming!
I really need to listen to you more often LOL.... SNTY and now COMS !! Started looking into COMS last night and god damn, look whats happened..... Your next tip, iam buying in without looking at it lol. Well done mate....'respec' indeed!
Thanks Paisley but as you'll be aware of these things they can be quite fortuitous. I was posting on the SNTY BB on ADVFN and another poster mentioned COMS and that they were operating in a fairly similar field. So my thanks should go to that poster for bringing them to my attention. I had a look, did some research and was soon convinced an investment was a must. I would add that, like SNTY, COMS has a LONG way to go yet. A near on 100% rise today is not the end of that story, it's just the beginning. Plenty more money to be made there IMHO.
Dibs, Respect. PP
Already bought into COMS on Monday mate. I mentioned it on here the other day. My second multi bagger in the past week by the looks. ;-)
coms.With sales team in place already.Global reach.Dyor.
Where I mentioned about the possibility of a placing. You can see this has been put into place now (should the company decide to proceed) in Resolutions 6 & 7 voted through today. Resolution 6 now gives the company the authority to issue shares and Res 7 effectively removes the right of ordinary shareholders to have 'first refusal' of new ordinary shares issued. Just a technical point but I thought worth making. Personally I wouldnt be the slightest bit bothered if they do. The market might have a little flinch though. With only 4.93m shares in issue even if they issued another 5m wouldn't make a hoot of a difference and raise possibly a cool £12m in the process to beef up the balance sheet!
Thank you again. Re the seats number they've not really added to our knowledge as they have already shown a circa 1150 position on the graph. (Unless they are modestly telling us they haven't broken 10k yet haha) I am getting a strong sense from the coyness you encountered that they think they are onto something or that something else is going on in the background. Could be completely wrong but I'm coming back to my previously outlined thoughts about convergence. We have all these devices and applications and Internet telephony and you would think someone at some stage would bring it all together...
Interesting you should mention that because SC indicated there could be one or two interesting new products in the pipeline ..... But not sure exactly what they will be, he clearly can't provide details but he seemed quite excited about them.
Nah you lot aren't getting rid of me that easily! :) Like I said I like what I see with this company and nothing that was said today changed my mind - longer term. I came away enthused which may sound bizarre when I actually sold. I could have held but although I am a serious investor I also have a traders instinct and I just feel a retrace is likely and there could be some uncertainty if word gets around about the possibility of a change of direction which would require a cash raise. We will see, if not, egg on my face and I will have to pay more to get in again. One thing I would add is that I think IF (note IF) there was a placing the city would be biting this lots hands off for shares. Sure it would be massively oversubscribed. I want to make sure SC's words aren't misconstrued though he clearly said it was all up for discussion. And if it happened it wouldn't be the dreaded 'working capital', this would be for genuine aggressive expansion. Be very interesting to see what they decide upon but whatever they do decide I will support them because I have trust in them. They currently have, I think, 24 employees so still very young company. I bet its fun working for them, be like a little community/family everyone knowing everyone else. Graham Ward is another interesting chap. He's a non-exec director with a lot of previous relevant business experience. He explained to me that they, as a company, were in their early stages of developing an organisation. I got the feeling he was trying to say 'look, don't expect too much too soon, we may have growing pains!' He said they have to build up all the usual functional areas like any enterprise such as finance, HR, marketing, sales etc and the point was he was essentially saying this is all work in progress. He sounded like a guiding hand to them to me. I can see parallels in this company for another company that I worked for that grew from being run above a shop into a £100m+ consultancy that was eventually sold to a multi national. Slightly different is that this was essentially born via a RTO of Zenergy by Synergy which was a private company but you get my drift..... Very interesting company this. Finally, as for seats it was indicated to me by MS that it was in 'four figures' currently. I suspect growing quickly though. Hope that answers your question. ATB
... personally, I suspect that if they were to start to grow the company earnings to justify (and more) the share price then they would become a serious candidate for a generous takeover if only to eliminate them as a competitor. So I think there's a range of angles which makes this really interesting. It's also got me wondering about the future of work practices. For example- how often do you find yourself writing an email reply that could be dealt with much more quickly by zapping off a voice message to someone's inbox? I'm beginning to see the cloud as being a nexus where email, voice, personal organisation, conferences etc all converge in integrated applications. The field could be massive.
Thank you for the detailed report. It would have been easy for you just to drift away and sell. Did you get any feel for seat expectation parameters?
I asked MS who their main competitor was and he said NewVoiceMedia who have actually been around for about ten years. Without being in any way disrespectful towards them he said that he thought that SNTY's products were better and that he was confident about competing with them in the marketplace. All in all a very productive and informative session as far as I am concerned. I took the decision immediately after the meeting to sell my entire holding FOR NOW. Reasons for this: 1. I have already made a massive profit and it is always good to take a profit and now just seemed the right time. 2. Although I admire the BOD's candidness and honesty about their future strategy dilemma I thought it could be possible the market would see this as an indication of short term uncertainty and possibly (POSSIBLY) the prospect of a placing. Markets, as we know, do NOT like uncertainty. 3. The SP has risen so fast and so far with no retrace I am making perhaps a calculated gamble that it WILL now retrace. I could be making a bad call but we shall see. I want to emphasise I am in no way bearish after the meeting. This is a cracking little company, a real good 'un. I fully intend to hold the funds from my sale here and keep them aside to buy back in again. If I can get in lower, great, I get more shares. If I have miscalculated and it continues its move northwards I may have to bite the bullet and accept it because I am VERY keen indeed on this company. I see so much potential here. ATB guys and IMHO don't worry if this drops back a bit because as long as you are prepared to hold for a while I am convinced you will be richly rewarded. And I WILL be back in!
