Ndn, hmmm true.
So basically the ‘troll hunter brigade’ will still be saying ‘Watch out, NDN wants to buy your cheap shares’ even after you’re out celebrating at the party with us all and we’ve all multibagged. Hmmm.
There could be all sorts of angles played in the coming months - one might argue that the trolling will increase since PI's are sitting on epic gains and efforts may be made to convince that the share has spiked. II's will be aware of a potential TO and will have no doubt calculated an estimated offer price - but they will want more share liquidity from sellers rather than buying and pushing the price up further.
We have seen from Poly that II's can be experts at accumulating shares without greatly affecting the SP. Others will want to follow suit.
Personally I'm holding until TO as I think thats the most likely outcome. However SNG have made all the right moves to show they are not beholden to an acquisition or JV to be able to execute commercially in the near term.
Alpha, actually (let’s hope SPRINTER readout is a success) and the SP booms, but I wonder then what’s next?
What’s next with the ‘He’s trying to buy your shares’ brigade?
We will all have multibagged many times over and surely new II’s will enter the picture. With a lot of our SP being made up from EUA and actual sales, until a potential takeover. It’ll mean the ‘troll hunter brigade’ will need to find a new speculative stock. After all, this stock will then stop being speculative and be about actual sales and bids.
Yep and I guess that's when the old adage that in the short term the market is a voting machine and in the long term its a weighing machine. Until the results are out we are driven by sentiment.
Not sure what the answer is to minimise trolling but it can make a board pretty toxic when there are multiple offenders working the board. As you say though, most have made their mind up now to wait for results. Just a few more days/weeks to find out if SNG really have got the 'breakthrough science' thats claimed on the front of the new website...
And there it is Alpha. Nicely put. If you get to the last line amongst the swamping it’s there in plain sight..
Alpha, point taken re Castro.
I do recall SP went up 12% or so (maybe it was 15) after his comment which was reported quickly on here.
But also my point is this, a simple one mate.
In most likely less than a month the SP will either be north of £6, or below 50p. This is regardless of what anyone says on this forum.
It could even happen tomorrow for all we know.
So for people worrying about rampers/de rampers on here, or going on and on about it, very soon whatever price change could be driven by a deramper (let’s say for arguments sake to lower the SP by a few %) is completely irrelevant if SPRINTER is a success and the SP booms 500%.
At this stage people know if they want to wait until readout and if they plan on leaving before readout then they should have left already. Readout is coming very soon, we will either get 100’s% increase or 85% loss.
But yes, ultimately it's not going to make any difference to the SP compared to P3 results and the impact they will have. Just don't be naive to the fact that there are bad actors out there that look to maximise their own wealth to the detriment of your own.
Andy, I think you'd be surprised by the amount of PI holdings that have eyes on these boards. We did a quick straw poll on Reddit and came to a rough estimate (based on 50 of the 250 members) that the group had somewhere between 5-10% of the total shares in the company. Thats more than Polar....
There will be a lot of overlap but I would argue that LSE readers/contributors hold significantly more than that.
A case in point for you. When Castro (Kansas Uni) mis spoke about A2 progression for SNG (and it was posted on the forums) the SP rocketed by £20m plus in a matter of minutes.
There have also been other occasions where a poster has found significant information that has triggered a SP rise.
I will conclude in saying there are more sophisticated rampers/derampers than mumbo jumbo.... :)
Wow! Still phenomenal.
We are so close to readout, all these ‘Raaah, he’s trying to buy your cheap shares’ posts are pathetic.
In less than a month this stock will either be north of £6 or below 50p. Nothing to do with what people on here write.
The only thing that will cause your shares to go up or down noticeably (at this stage) is the Phase 3 readout. Not some little spy from Polygon secretly trying to lower the price by 4%.
Alpha, I’d like to think that investors are putting in tens of thousands in to stocks that they have prior knowledge to the stock.
If we combine the whole amount of shares owned by everyone on this board, we get maybe 1% of the company.
Given that 90% on this board are already committed until at least readout, that means there is very very few people (I don’t know any genuine investor that would read a post on here now, at this stage, this close to readout) who will pull out.
All indications are positive and we have both Numis and Finncap analysts making their forecasts as well.
If the Finncap analyst had downgraded the potential of this stock then it would have a consequence on the SP.
But realistically at this stage, who in their right mind would see a couple of posts from Mumbo Jumbo and decided they can’t take the risk and pull out?
A lot of people on here place far too much emphasis on the power of this chat forum. All the main PI’s that come in here already believe in the company and are in until readout. So I don’t believe that a couple of kids coming on and saying ‘omicron is mild, the pandemic is over’ makes any difference whatsoever.
In fact, this speaks volumes about people’s social lives and their own selves if they believe that somehow little spies are secretly on this forum trying to bring the price of Synairgen shares down by 3 pence.
I'd beg to differ Andy. As an investor you visit this site frequently.
Where else are you going to find information on SNG that's current? Your choices are here, ADVFN, Twitter or Reddit.
As a stock that still has significant PI holding, I think you can certainly shake some weak hands to sell (or ramp a share to increase buying) by messaging in these forums.
To look at it another way. If you wanted to drop the SP by a few points, what other method would you personally employ if you were looking to buy at a lower price or if you were shorting the stock?
Hi Tony, cool buddy.
I actually bought some more yesterday. The website and job vacancies were a very nice indication of future success.
I’m not one who believes that this forum has any influence over the SP though. So I don’t really care if people are ramping or de ramping. If anything, when the rampers are out in force, that seems to be when the price drops.
If this share goes to £20, buying in at £2 or £1.94 doesn’t bother me as I’m already in a decent profit.
All the best.
Andy
My buy orders are on the book, The heading and comment was for the trolls that right on here. It was written as a joke. Tony
Buy some then buddy?
What’s ramping/deramping on a little anonymous message board got to do with you buying some more?
I want to buy a lot more.
