Thanks Beforegolf for the archive link, I had read about it before but couldn't remember the name of it. Now in my favourites...
Us pi's are just tagging on for the ride off their hard work hoping to hit the jackpot... leave him be I say..
Lol. I’m not emailing him or pestering him in any way. Just had an opposing view to yours, so thought I’d post, as is my right on an open forum. Anyway back to my day job.
The 80m was institutional investors. PI's were only the additional 7m (of which I am but one).
No.... leave him be, let him do his job. Stop pestering him!
In any case , do you honestly think your email will pass the 'nutter filter'? You will get a bland reply from someone else tell you, politely, that they cannot release any information outside of the company's official RNS.
Totally acknowledge that RM is busy but there’s no harm once in a while providing the individuals who have backed him by 80m with an update. I’m sure one of the minions he has hired with the 80m of investor cash can put out an update if he really can’t spare a minute. Not expecting individual responses but a proactive or like interview for a few mins wouldn’t go amiss.
@Mrcosts. Sorry, ridiculous idea tbh. RM does not 'owe' us anything, apart from to do his job to the best of his ability. He cannot be distracted by 'weak & woolly' shareholders that do not have patience to let him get on with it!
I think RM is busy enough. We don't need updates from him, I'd rather he spent his precious time on getting out the HT results, making sure the phase 3 is running ok, feeding the HT data through to assist ACTIV-2, keeping on top of our manufacturing capacity, and updating journalists himself.....
We don't need to tie his hands, we know where this is headed. Leave him alone to do his job properly.
@welsh I agree entirely with your post. I also thing we should emailing RM and asking for updates. We backed RM and co when they needed are support (cash), it’s time they gave us something to feed off.
We need to follow up directly to the journalists writing these articles.
Simply say that their article was interesting. They should have a look at Synairgen. An interferon based therapeutic in late stage trials. Peer reviewed initial phase 2 showing 80% effective. Home based trial in the UK completed with results expected very soon, Similar home trial in the ACTIV-2 warp speed in the US (US funded with potential EUA). And a worldwide stage 3 in hospital trial underway.
All set up and running without UK help, but may well be available for the autumn deadline....
If we hit them all, the message should filter out there......
There are already promising drugs in human trials, including a repurposed treatment for flu, and new drugs. Professor Peter Horby, who helps lead the Recovery trial, said the new task force was necessary as it would be able to pick up early-stage products and accelerate them.
“It's a challenging market, so that the economics of developing these kinds of drugs are not great, which is why it needs public investment,” he said.
