Pexa appoint new chief finance and growth officer May 15th. Might explain the extension
Some interesting trades coming in. Could they actually double their money in a week? Had been completely unaware of Pexa prior to this potential offer. The question is would Smv simply a bolt on acquisition or do they have something that could transform Pexa. That would make quite a difference to the price. I cant see Kestrel and others being interested in sub £1 for starters, and if it does have a more strategic property then we could be looking at a record premium for a takeover or no deal. Pexa is a 2.3 billion company so my gut feeling is they will make a serious enough offer to consider unless they are just checking out the opposition. Intriguing situation after all the Trussed up drama.
TU update inline. Quite impressed business has been this good to be honest. House prices edging up. Cash burn is falling which is just as well as down to 10 million now . Mostly went on shareholder return. So over to you Pexa
Interesting indeed Warren. Also Paxa is in a similar line of work , Digital property transfer and mortgage transfer. They also have pretty deep pockets having a 2.3 billion market cap. Interesting also that they are after such a tiddler. Smv must have something they havnt got and thats not the cash in the bank. I’m encouraged a lot more now. 12 million for this kind of software when out government blew 22 billion on track and trace software that didn't even work, is clearly ridiculous. I think there is a decent chance of getting a fairer price. Also Persimon released a very encouraging trading statement on house sales this morning which hasnt gone unnoticed. Gl all
Interesting that they came out with a statement that they are looking at bidding!!!
And in CASH !,,,,SHOW ME THE MONEY
As expected the third party transaction, not the takeover, has discontinued. Why would they? They dont need cash they need business. Should be a TU soon. Unfortunately I would be amazed if they got an acceptable offer. Companies tend not to pay for potential . They want cash cows. Way to go on that one, but quite possible in a year or two.
the donkey work has been done. Unfortunately the potential is going to be realised by somebody else.
Agree, based on the 52 week high of 77p last July + 52p in January this looks a decent shout at the current levels. As for transparency - it's LSE, what do you expect?
oh nice
RNS seems to confirm initial talks underway with PEXA group australian listed with 2.42bn AUD market cap. Looks like a strategic fit with their platform businesses. Could easily see a £40m buyout. DYOR
Are you stupid?
news possibly
Looks like Sky News broke the news of multiple offers half an hour before the company was forced to RNS it
Not great in terms of transparency
And more 7500 trades. Wtf is this about. Makes me think this is a front for something else. Never any news about the business they are supposed to be in
Here come the 7500 trades again. How many years will it take to clear them? Nearly 80 percent owned by 8 individual investors and institutions. It will be mega one day, but probably taken off us on the cheap
Apologies, not pounds , volume. Just thought I’d try and confuse every body for those not confused enough by this stock!
There we go again . Several bot trades @ £7500. And then the reverse sweep @ £5,700 . WTF is going on here?
Seems like Ollie baby is buying back all the shares he had to sell at 40p. Couldn't make this up. I suppose somebody knows what they are doing
Well I almost doubled up at 32-33p so I was quite happy to sell some at 40p.
However, saw Kestrel sold today so surprised to see the price rising.
A fund accumulating maybe ?
Those that took the off er won’t be best pleased. But that was the idea. Offload some cash which they don’t need and reduce shares in circulation. The business may be flat for a year but it’s a great product. A disrupter, some powerful clients (Lloyds)and way out in front of competition
... but why ?
Meant Oliver of course. Perhaps they should take my earlier idea and open up a Juice bar too while business is a little slack
Results on November 10th which we now know anyway. Many thanks to Truss for single-handedly wrecking many share capital values. I see mortgage advice bureau shares have been flying. Didn’t realise they were over £15 last years now around half that.
Presentation on November 20 or 22 maybe. AleYs thoght this was going to be a long term hold. Probably a couple more years I would imagine. Worth the wait . Question is when to add. Seems to have slowed Rupert down At last!
The previous drop to 29p was way over done,
They're still holding 16m in cash.
The big players always play the game to their own advantage effortlessly, as we mere mortals watch on from the sidelines hoping to pick up a few crumbs of knowledge here & there.
All part of the game I suppose.
Cheers
All we need now is the £5m sharebuyback to begin this month & we should see the share price creep back into the 40ps.
Cheers.
