nice move up after todays rns
Might see £5 today
You are quite correct and reflect the situation spot on.
This was a well controlled growing business when the father was in charge, but like many family controlled businesses it passed control to the brothers who have spent the cash pile in the company they inherited, bought for an unsupportable price a competitor (the owners must have laughed all the way to the bank!) created a millstone with the pension scheme and lost sales and margins.
The only chance of getting the shares back to £3/4 is to get proper professional management into the business. Will this happen? I doubt it. The family in the company will continue to get their nice salaries, probably have enhanced pensions in place, and a nice level of expenses, so what is their incentive.
Yes, it’s a public company with legal commitments to minority shareholders, and I for one would call for an investigation by the authorities if it were to fail whilst the Directors, and former Directors, continue their mismanagement and take their remuneration etc in spite of the dire results.
Good luck to all who are still sailing with her - such a pity a great business is disappearing!

Over 60% of the shares are held by family members with Michael Chadwick holding around 18%. An over priced takeover of a poorly performing rival (ESE) has made things worse. Valuation of the freehold property at Baildon was 1.22m lower than on balance sheet Pension scheme deficit is still around 8.6m and during 2017, the Company made no deficit reduction payments. Overheads are still too high Margins are still low Share price should be around 40p to reflect the above
Two trades in one day.... and almost £ 50 spent in total.

Any further info as to WHEN this 'Massive Rise' is coming?
Only have 1 million shares in issue. Literally the lowest shares in issue I've ever known. They're are a profit making company. With zero shares and are only valued at 1 million pounds. Massive rise coming.

Hi guys don't get too enthusiastic about this company. It's still controlled by the family and I would guess each member wouldn't dare sell unless it was a takeover. It used to have a huge cash pile, then they bought the millstone and incurred losses, plus the huge pension scheme deficit, and the very poor management, doesn't add up to an inviting prospect! The father of the sons now "running" the business had a very tight ship, an excellent reputation, and built the company up to having masses of cash and an excellent customer list. I attended several annual meetings when the sons took over and suggested several areas to be looked at, but to no avail. I held shares which cost several times the current quote and was against frittering away the cash pile, also I suggested that they should get a wholesaling expert to run the business - no chance! The family shareholders were aghast at the thought of a non family member being in charge - now look at it! Be warned it's not investable as the dragons would say.

keeping an eye also, thought I was about to rue not getting in when it moved earlier, but thankfully not the case on this occasion!
Andy, you're right about the swift movement if it happens, bit it may have already happened? These were 20p in March this year, tough call for me at the moment but keeping a close eye. Good luck.
Almost everyone who bought in earlier has sold ???? It's laughable.
looking at the trade, possibly was caught out by the Ask climbing but not the bid and thought they were making a quick buck? if that is the case surely not a mistake that would be made again... either that just changed their mind? or not the same person at all?
Last post: AndyBhoy, 13 Sep 2017 13:43
agreed it is a large spread, however I've never looked into a share with such low market cap and so little shares in issue, so don't have anything to compare it with, given that if it does start to climb it would move rather swiftly you would think
3k held his shares for 23 minutes, what's that all about !
I keep looking but not with that spread !

Leaving my punt in with a limit set..spread is big though still but free-float is tiny
this really does move fast,no doubt about that.

This was the over 300 recently
Around 15% of shares in free-float..no wonder trades send this up or down so quickly
Not wanting to rain your parade.. but The Group had net debt of £1.65m at 30 June 2017 (£1.96m at 30 June 2016) which represents a small improvement from the position at 31 December 2016 of £1.7m., and the pension fund is in trouble.... hmmm

hi mate this one has come and gone a few times this past week. can become difficult to sell due to illiquid nature, will need news to make a difference. just be wary not to get caught. and stuck. gl
Finally allowing buyers in. And I've taken a fair few. Many multiples from this level. It will fly on just a few trades. There are zero shares available
Not even £500 worth available now. How's this gone unnoticed
Profit making company valued at 1 million pounds. Lowest number of share I've ever known as well. No wonder you can only buy £500 worth in one go. This is going to go many multiples higher than this.
