Ditto - & stay positive Mr Fed Up !!
good luck to all at skyepharma keep up the good work.
Vec results due today I think. Hope they help our sp. Undecided whether to see before decision day or accept vec paper. Their sp has not done much this year despite good business progress. May sell then add vec to watch list to buy in to bigger entity post merger. Dealing cost low and i have cgt losses to offset on my v healthy skp gains...
First quarter revenues up to $63.80 from $56 so we are on target to exceed $250mill for the year & receive the next milestone of,I believe $8mill.
what happens after the merger? do we just have SKP shares or VEC shares or do we have both?
850p for Vec once my Skp shares have been converted would make me a happy bunny & it would definitely be my round!

Hi Mr BB,you did well in buying when the price was low.As to the future of the sp, who knows? If I could get half my money back I would be in a better position than at present, anything higher would be a bonus!GLA.
Strangely Nipper I too had 36,000 shares although I need about £55 to break even on those,a prospect which I do not anticipate( a 10 bag from here making the Vec Group worth over £10 bill)Fortunately I did start buying again when we were on our knees & now have a large stake ( for me) which will son become a large stake in Vec.Vec appears to be undervalued, according to its supporters & with view to forthcoming newsflow next month, ( Finals for Vec & AGM trading update for SKP),apart from the potential for additional positive news I expect our SP to remain firm or strengthen further ( market conditions permitting).
Hi Mr BB, your post reflects my sentiments exactly. At one point in time, I held 36,000 shares in Skp, after the board decimated everyone's holding,I have 360.This wiped out my confidence in the share and unfortunately, I did not have the perspicacity to buy in at or near the bottom. Consequently, I need to have a £50.00 per share in Skp to break even. No doubt I am not alone in this, obviously, with the increase in the number of shares due to the merger, that figure will be less, somewhere around £17.00 off the top of my head. Should the merger have the desired results, that may be attainable. From little acorns, mighty oak trees grow . GLA.
Interesting that we SKP holders feel we are worth more than 40% of the whole & Vec holders feel they are worth more than 60%.Vecs pipeline is apparently stronger than our & although we have more revenue & profitability currently I assume that a rapid ramp up of revenue & profitability is expected at Vec.My view is that bigger in Pharma is better & we will be part of a £1bill + Group with the profile which goes with that status & if there is potential with a broad spectrum of complimentary products that we can gain a "first in class" reputation which will ultimately compell a Big Boy to take us out for a much higher price, maybe within a year or two.I hold a large number of SKP shares & will take 100% Vec paper.
Thank you nipper22. I want to vote and need the blue and white forms to register, the green form is to be completed if you want partial cash and reduced number of shares, which I don't. I believe there is more value to be had by receiving the full quota of Vectura shares. My shares are held electronically within a Barclays nominee account. Having contacted them they were not aware enough as I would have expected. It seems I have to give them my proxy for them to vote for or against the merger on my behalf. Overall I think the merger should be advantageous in the longer term but still am of the opinion that SKP shareholders are taking more to the party than is reflected in the 2,7977 share swap, particularly after the announcement of such outstanding results.
Yes,I had mine yesterday and I am in Portugal! Make enquiries if you have not received yours. Very simple,if you want the new shares alone,do nothing. GLA.
Anyone received their forms yet? They have to be in by 3rd May, not much time left.
Good news today regarding VR315 in the US
Good to see them increase their holding .
Good point well made Volcano-I also bought in the 40s,but first thing today I switched my Vec holding,( only bought on the announcement of the merger) into more SKP @ 423p.If all goes to plan Vec will be a FTSe 250 stock & positive news flow from SKP & VEC together with increased II interest will push our SP to a much higher level
i am not from 40p to over £4 ,nice .
I see a shrewdness in this which smacks of the Chief. SKP gets a main board quote (though losing its name) it pushes Vectura into immediate profit which should double its SP in the fairly short term. Since Vectura is offering a multiple of its SP for every SKP share, it is highly likely those of us who take the shares will have the equivalent of £7-10 per SKP within a year. If the SKP price slips, theres a case for mopping up more.
Why do I feel so mugged off by this deal? Finally we have some excellent results which could have meant a small dividend. Products in the pipeline, growing sales and yet we've just tossed it all off into a merger? I'm hacked off to say the least.
Good point Newbyoldy but I have a decent holding in Skp & felt compelled to own some Vec too.Lets hope the media, analysts etc all consider this to be a great deal resulting in a win win outcome.
MrBB, please correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't you be better off buying SKP at 409p as you would get VEC at 146.2p now? I.e. 409p @ 2.7977 VEC shares = 146.2p.
Exactly ! If the Market perceives this to be a great deal for VEC its SP will strongly recover, taking the SKP SP higher with it & with that in mind I bought into VEC this morning
