Up..down..up..down! What is it now Supergroup? Iris. ..can you tell sky to stick their adverts unless they let you wear a Superdry Hood in the next campaign? Euan...steady on there matey! Nothing shows you're behind a brand like buying 10 shares! That's less than I spent on your blinking coat! I can see this easily North of £16 but when is anybodies guess. Yet again becoming another great buying opportunity but a bit boring for us long termers.
Solid hold in my view - Still seeing more and more of their clothes around, though not a particularly scientific positive signal!!
can see 12-13 quid in next 5mths. not a great short agreed. = weak buy short term. long term =1year hold if already purchased getting a divi again next year .
Fiesta....surely £16 territory is not far away...AGM looks like it was pretty flat !!! No news other than 17p divi .....GL
Oh well despite solid performance of late and dividends declared we drift down yet again. Waiting for the break through £16 but no reason for it to happen today. Turbulent market over the last week. Let's have some blue days red is so yesterday! Lol Is it me or am I seeing Superdry everywhere over this summer? The weather over this quarter must have been great for business??
Here !!!!!!zzzzzzzzzzz
Next week....any views on what we might expect ?.........usually is good news .
Looks to me like buying power not strong enough to push it through 1600p
That's owning SGP for you! Who knows...maybe Andrea selling 4.5k shares but doubt it. UK Retail doing OK and SGP drops...that's just the way it is! lol
Does anyone know why this share has dropped so dramatically today? It's fallen further than the FTSE!
Hi mate, my £16 target was of course before the results last week. However, current eps 71p. If we assume 20% this year (mkt is going for 15%) we get 85p or thereabouts, put on a 20x multiple is £17. TBH, stock probably looks fairly valued. Downside risk is collapse in retail sales in UK for a sustained period post BREXIT. Upside case probably genuine penetration into the US market, which could be huge! So, I'm a holder here, but would look to lighten at £17 I think. Interested in yours or other views!! Enjoy the sun - all change on Thursday!
Bang on Matt - £16 and maybe still got legs. I have banked on this one (too early in fact but any profit is good profit) so happy days. Back out in the sun for me, bring on that 33degs !
SuperGroup rewards shareholders with special dividend as profits jump http://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2016/07/14/supergroup-rewards-shareholders-with-special-dividend-as-profits/
God, no, I wouldn't be seen dead in their clothes!! Just like making money from the fact that other people like them... ;) (just joking...)
Be nice to have a discount card for long term holders though. Let's have the shareholders buying the clothes! Lol
Yep. 20% growth, 20x PE multiple, all looks about right!! Market now starting to get used to this Company delivering to (or just beating) expectations which has certainly changed from a few years ago.
Pretty much what was expected. Nice that there's a special divi, better that when lots are getting stuffed SGP are still growing nicely. Trial stores opening in China in summer could be the game changer?
This is quiet! Any thoughts on today's results?
Not sure why it hasn't moved....I like you thought it would bounce with the current rise but hasn't ..bought at 1244. I still think it get close to £14 in next few weeks.....good luck
Invested in here early this week at £12.39 thinking we would see a bounce of some sort, surprised it hasn't materialised as of yet. Anyone else expecting there to be one or are we likely to see a little bit of sideways movement before we see either some results or see implications of Brexit a bit more clearly??
Hello my 'Benchmark' friend LO - My previous target was £18, but I have to admit, things for the UK retailing market look tougher now post BREXIT. I'd carry on holding at this level though, with a £16 target for end year!
Matt - am hoping the fall yesterday was overdone as am lumped on to this (again) with a tempting sub 12:50 SP - but am nervous that the good news due in the finals 14th July(ish) is priced in at this level ? I guess focus will be on the outlook statements in the associated blurb, not just the great (but now historic) financials. Do you think £15 is on the cards again near-term without a reversal of UK political situation ?
They don't export to Europe, they operate in Europe, and hence won't be subject to tariffs. The issue is actually what a sharp contraction in the UK economy and knock on effects for retail sales will have on the Group. The answer is know one knows, and the market hates uncertainty. Actually, the Company's growing foreign sales translated back through a lower pound should provide good protection. Stock fall yesterday massively overdone . BTW, won't affect SGP, but we really won't be getting a better deal than the EU negotiated. Why would we when we're a fraction of the size!!
Something is very "up" with this share. It did drop like a stone to around the same level for a couple of hours last week then bounced straight back up?? A few years ago SGP would drop to the same sort of extent and bounce back over the next couple of sessions, back then it was a great trade and one of the reasons i got in here but with all this hassle getting through £15 i am wondering if it's worth the hassle with so many other buying opportunities arising? No doubt it's due to the fact that they are fairly heavily into Europe but i wonder if that takes account of the fact that the major drivers for expansion going forward are China, India, North America which are little to do with Europe and now that we are soon to be able to negotiate our own trade deals with these areas perhaps this could be a longer term blessing in disguise?
....not quite sure why SGP is flat on Friday, but suffers a 20% fall today. Panic is rife, but remember what WB said: be greedy when others are fearful (and vice versa).
