Devon, where did you read that Castelnau have added to their position in SGI? I can't see anything on this on the CGL page? Please advise.
More red flags in Castelnau's reporting, they've been adding to their position in SGI. So you now have a company which can't serve it's debt: it's having to be supported by it's major shareholder and it's share price is being supported by an associated business.
Some will see that as being "supportive".....I just hear a life support machine bleeping in the background! How sick is the patient really when it needs financial help this intensively?
God knows what would happen if the associated party hadn't been buying from the eager sellers.
They used to say that if New York caught a cold London sneezes, but you are left wondering what if Phoenix caught a cold?.... would SGI get double pneumonia with sepsis??!!
Castelnau also appears to be selling service to SGI. This level of financial engineering good for retail investors?...well, we all know who'll get thrown under a bus if the wheels come off don't we.
Speculative end of speculative at best. Leave it to the pros or naive.
Castelnau is now well under it's issue price and has under performed the market, SGI has dropped over 23% in the last 12 months.
"aggrieved" How so? Lets look at some facts.
Months ago I predicted 1.8-2.2 when you was bangin' on about 20p, what did we get 2.1p
Even when other bears of SGI thought we wouldn't go below 2.5 I was steadfast in my view of 1.8-2.2p. BTW I still think 1.8 is possible.
You've spent 3 years averaging down here and you're still underwater. I deployed my capital elsewhere and I've made decent profits.
You've spent your time going around the site talking SGI up. Others have called it Trolling. I've kept my accurate SGI posts here.
So once you've put your self delusion aside....who's really the one that's "aggrieved"?
And the funny thing is, the really fun thing, IF SGI does eventually rally I'll make more money as I haven't wasted cash with ill timed averaging down. LOL
Self delusion, it's an investors worse enemy. I tried to help you with DEB as well, and what do I get from you? Petulant comments again ;)
* because we know you, you'll note I put the IF in uppercase, there's still no certain outcome.
Devon, you’re clearly aggrieved enough about it that you need to respond.....petty I’d say but no doubt you will want the last word
"you can see, the shares have risen today"
Time to celebrate up a whole 1/10th of a penny! You tell how little faith there is when a 1/10th of 1 penny is reason to celebrate. LOL
Just tried to buy some but seems there’s no availability at 2.4p other than for very small purchases that would be pointless
No problem, Pearls… Today- not much of a rise but always nice to see it.
Ucohen, as you can see, the shares have risen today, but Devon is nowhere to be seen. He’s only on here with his pointless comments when the share price falls
Yes you can bank on Pearls suggesting a share, that's under water for him, as a buy. Even up to the moment it goes bust!
LOL
With this share performing as it is- I'd say he deserves credit... But the game's not over.

More red again today?
And yet Pearls we are exactly within the price range I predicted months ago 1.8-2.2, when you was suggesting we'd be at 20p by now....so yes, please encourage people to look back at the sage advice and avoid your nonsense.
You are sounding rattled again. Is that because you can feel that 1.8 in coming round the corner? LOL
Thanks ucohen, but as you may have now seen, this is exactly how Devon responds each time. He is determined to continually knock the company and you will never see his comments supporting SG in any regard, whatever the management decide or do. Equally he never is able to comment on days when the share price rises. Admittedly such days have not occurred very often recently, but we all live in hope, apart from him. He seems determined to knock anything positive anyone says about SG.
Just observe his responses going forward, or go back in these postings and study his continual diatribes on this company. He even makes out occasionally that he’s a shareholder??? That’s the sort of shareholder no company needs.
All this is irrelevant and misguiding! You can't work this out in your favour or an answer whether or not you should buy or sell.
"He advised that at least 900,000 of the trades today were buy trades. In fact only the last two trades are definitely sells as is the second trade of 1000 shares. I know who I believe........"
They must be offering to buy lower than the current price then. Otherwise the price would go up, NOT DOWN AS IT DID TODAY. That fits in with my view that it's still over priced. Thanks for sharing that comment. Buyers must be driving the price lower....
1.8 round the corner?
Fascinating times as SG’s financial year 2021 has just finished, yesterday’s buying perhaps suggests it was a decent performance. Unfortunately for us ordinary mortals, SG will not be reporting on the 2021 year until late June / early July, but I would guess if the price starts shifting upwards between now and then that 2021 will turn out to have been a decent year and SG will be shown to be in the black again. I can’t wait for this to be confirmed.
Accordingly, Is it worth following the buyers now prior to the update in three months time?
Sorry Devon, but you are wrong. I too can read LSE’s reporting of today’s trading but I can equally advise that I have personally queried today’s trades with my own broker. He advised that at least 900,000 of the trades today were buy trades. In fact only the last two trades are definitely sells as is the second trade of 1000 shares. I know who I believe........
Flashed up again today on my search algo. As I mentioned last week , if that happens over a few days usually a big move down. I can see lots of sells:

Looking weak...1.8 coming on?
I cannot understand it.
Tried doing some dummy trades and the market was quoting 2.201p to sell and 2.2p to buy earlier?? How is this possible? Looks like some investor[s] have taken advantage of this, this morning.
Small turbulence before the rise. No doubt in my mind…
Just noticed a range of buys going through?
Any comments anyone?
Yep, I agree. As to the amount which would raise the share price I guess that some big buys must go through to do that… But that of course can happen any time in a single day. Anyway, we have to wait and see what happens. We can’t be too far away from the next announcement.
ucohen, fair comments. As I have tried pointing out, you cannot tell which are the buys or sells on here, incredibly they seem to often be the same price. Clearly the 2.1p trades are sales, but the marketmakers are quoting an odd price range, probably in anticipation of someone buying a decent load. Even a purchase of say £4000 would get you over 180,000 shares at 2.2p, given how many are in free float, I wonder what it would take to raise the price much from this level.
I guess we will shortly find out as like you, I cannot see the shares remaining this low for much longer.
The last time when the share price was significantly lower was in March 2020. It fell as low as 1.53p. In February 2020 the Company issued RNS - Agreement with Phoenix S.G. Limited, under which "... SGL has acquired trading inventory consisting of approximately 780 items... The agreement is for a total of ten years ..." Yet a month later the share dropped to 1.53. Then on the 29th April 2020 an update came about Covid and the price was about 2.50. Never again went down under 2p after that.
Today the company seems to be in a better position but the share price doesn't move in shareholders' favour. Yesterday I bought 5000 for 2.2... so not always all what seems to be red is red indeed?
