Share prices mean nothing! Look at the Mkt. Cap. of the company concerned which could have any number of shares in issue.
Comparing share prices gets you nowhere! More worrying is an article in today's Telegraph which suggests bus companies will never make money again! Has to be linked with SGC hitting a 52 week low and the clever money will pile in.
Bus companies will return to normal and the SP will double quite quickly, but not from the current SP. I feel we are looking at a low of about 25p, look at FIrst Group, it hit 25p in March, but as we know it is now the same sort of price as Stagecoach. it will if anything to 15p, but will itself double to 30p. Both companies will benefit from a vaccine which may work for 6 months, but with time these vaccines will improve.
I remember when commodities hit rock bottom couple of years ago - some wrote a piece which said Glencore might collapse. On that morning Glen sp fell 30% on no news.
That was the bottom. Bottoms are associated with extreme fear and capitulation. This is why SGC may bottom on Monday, let's see what it hits and I will call it the bottom. I suspect 39p but will finish the day up.
What do you think the sp will be in a year ?
I guarantee you SGC won't bottom out on Monday.
Are you saying there is going to be a continuing drop before it goes back up ?
Who knows where this is heading....... don’t for one minute assume that because kids are returning to school that stagecoach share price is going to start a one way spiral upwards..... Way too much damage has been done by this Covid virus.... life is never going back to normality, well not for the foreseeable future..... Footfall is massively down at present, yes it’s gradually rising but it’s no where near what it needs to be.... patronage levels are still only 30% of pre Covid levels... some employees are still furloughed... some have been made redundant or taken early retirement...... as one of the directors has said... everything is being monitored hour by hour.... personally I’m not bothered, life’s a gamble currently I’m only putting my money into stagecoach... and every spare quid is going into it... looking at a 2 -5 year period not worried even if it goes to 30p... just means I get more for my money......
It's good job jcreek has such authority over the markets that he can guarantee it's not going to bottom out on Monday.
Amazing!
Nothing's going to do much of anything on a bank holiday.
beardozer do you have a link to that telegraph article ? Im a subscriber of that newspaper but I can find no trace of it.
Ok well is it not sure clear meant Tuesday
I said it would hit 39p today but it hit 40.5p.
That is the bottom in now.
Cheapshareboy what you actually claimed was that on Monday SGC would hit 39p and will finish the day up.
It didn't move on Monday, or hit 39p today, or finish the day up. That's 3 strikes in 1 prediction, yourrrrrrrrrrr out!
Looks like I'm the only one though who dared to call the bottom. Maybe you bought in at £1.50 not so nice. Either way hope it turns out better for you
I understand the frustration of buying high
I've been there. It's best to consider stopping losses when you make such mistake. I bought here at 43.99p so didn't quite get the low of 40.5p today. But someone making fun of me today bought at over £1 so perhaps you are just trying to cry out your tears. I do understand that.
Jcreek - you mocked my call of 39.5p which has been proven correct at this point
Time to eat humble pie little boy?
Why don't you go back to the play ground and join the other children
