No Southmead as no big changes in large investors holdings. There were a couple of weird days where huge trades were seen with no change to the SP which would indicate shares moving maybe across to another MM as if it was large shareholders they would have to declare it. To answer your question no hard evidence of takeover. The increase in SP seems to be driven mainly by increasing buying pressure with limited shares available.... long may it continue throughout our drilling campaigns!
Thanks Harts, I too have been delighted at the steadily rising volume since the start of the year which culminated in 474000 shares traded on Friday last. The SP has also risen steadily from 21.5p to 26p over the same 2 weeks.
In light of expected drilling results and 4th Quarter operations update and results, I suspect the trend will continue and we should see 30p upwards this week maybe!!
My point though was really about your reference to 'Conspiracy Theories' regarding the share price and in particular the constant selling pressure that seemed to be designed to keep the SP down. Is anyone any closer to explaining what was going on there and have we seen the last of it?
Yes I've been watching the trades and the repeated sells did seem to dry up and did not kick in at 24.5p like previous times. The repeated sells still do pop up but the difference is now we have a lot higher buying volume. If the buying volume decreases we may see the MMs drop the SP again but at the moment the increased volume has certainly done the trick.
It did seem as though the SP was being held down as you say maybe for an ii to slowly accumulate on very little volume. It also gave the directors a chance to buy in. Now it seems there is little to hold this back as long as the buying volume keeps increasing towards results. As you say it seems as though the handbrake has been finally taken off.
Hi all, well after a long sabbatical I rebought my position in SDX last week. Think my highest buy was 60p a year or two ago, getting back to there would certainly be nice! Looking forward to drilling updates soon and year end results in March. Hopefully be a lot higher by then. ATB All
Harts, you make an interesting comment there about the Buy Out conspiracy theories that were being bandied about a few weeks ago. What was that constant selling all about? What did it achieve and why has the selling dried up? What has changed to account for this shift in the pattern of share transactions? Was the Year End something to do with it? Has one of our II's benefitted by keeping the price low through to the year end so that they can release the brake on the SP and show a mega profit increase in 2020?
Answers on a postcard please
Shakey, you may be right but just think if an institutional investor started to hoover up available shares from a limited pool
There aren't really enough shares in the free float for institutional investors at the moment.
Pretty good day but looking at the pattern of the buying it does not look like the institutional investors are engaged as yet. When, and if, they do things will start happening.
Still good to go into a weekend on a positive note.
Quite an active trading morning and 0btrades since 11:30 ????
I think Daft was showing that the American rig for Morocco would be finished by mid March we know it's at work currently.
Apologies yes Daft you are right first 7 are the lower risk plays I got it wrong. Drilling commenced on the 25th October so will they have done the first 7 yet? That's my question as this rig was planned to do quick back to back drills.
Cannot see anything about waiting for the rig from Predator. In fact I know the drilling team are in country and have been for several months. The development wells are first then the 2 exploration wells at the end.
Indeed seller seems to have gone that was holding this below 24 so conspiracy theories slowly dwindling away.
As for the rig I was under the impression from previous RNS that they would test the riskier plays first and if not successful go back to their bread and butter. We sit and wait for the results then!
Harts, not so sure they have got that far yet, rig is due to be released mid march, according to predator oil post below. https://www.predatoroilandgas.com/
Each rise moves us further up the road from the so called cheap takeover that some kept touting.
Nice to see some action, results on Morocco are expected any day now? In my view if they had been unsuccessful with the riskier plays we would have heard by now that they had moved back to the lower risk formations?

Clearly broken out of ascending triangle and flag formations now. Gap at 26p however, hopefully that will close today. This isn't going to go up in a straight line. There will be retests of prior resistance which will hopefully now form support and opportunities to buy more shares.
Now the Ask is up to 27p and the Bid has been moved to 26p. A couple of small transactions at 26.2p have been classed as 'sells' but they were probably buys as well, just caught in the wide spread at the moment of click.
Great start today.
Looks like clear skies to 35p to me... drill results could do it
Nice to see SDX get off to a good start again today.
The Bid on HL platform just kicked up to 25p after a couple of nice buys.
yeah not sure why a trade at 24p and 24.25p printed. It's 24.8 to sell 100k shares. 10k shares on the ask at 25.98.
It does seem that there is a bit of momentum behind the shares at the moment. Not on great volume but in tight supply such as SDX with a great majority of stock spoken for then, not a great surprise. Long may it continue until we get to a sensible valuation for this profitable outfit.
1 more good news soon and the sp should make a nice jump
Can sell 200k shares for 24.5p that’s not happened for a while and yet can’t buy £5k worth
