Nice job C7. I Have been HODL crypto since 2015 and have done very well but I would not attempt to trade it but I think 2021 will be spectacular.
Ruck, think it is a good time to move on from that, really hasiba has got every right to his own stratagy AND other posters.
Good to see though that LTH like us , have an opinion built over nearly ten years now.
Like I said not been on the BB that much of late but still check up on trades pretty regularly, I just wonder how people day trade withoutdoing so. Noticed a couple of 001 trades, lol the last ten days or so, did you?
AB,
Just to be clear, I think Hasiba was wrong to disrespect Bermuda, as you say, one of if not the most knowledgeable posters around. Everyone, including hasiba, are entitled to follow their own investment strategy - especially if it has worked for them over the long term.
Ruck that's a fair point - 78% is more than I've made in 10 years LOL. Myself I wasn't 'upset' at all but when Hasiba explained his 'brutal' strategy it seemed odd and a major flaw was politely pointed out by another - that's it.
I see you mention 'the science will see us through' theme/comment - please note, there's more to it than just those words, of course - a real conviction that the massive depth and range of Scancell's science and patents will in all likelihood, propel the commercial progress - one day ! ATB
Thankyou C7 for reminding me..
I wonder how far hasiba has progressed in his quest for owning 1% of Scancell?
If he does he plainly has not declared his purchases.
If he hasn't he didn't stick to his stated aim.
If he has there will potentially be a big seller at the critical time before Scancell's data releases.
With his stated (contraian view) that Scancell should have a partner before P1 there is a possible oversupply problem at a critical time for Scancell's timelines.
With his (not necessarily logical view) of the right path for Scancell's progress he might be a market force that will not assist Scancell or other less savvy investors. If he is wrong in his assessment his release of shares could be very helpful for others wanting to buy in.
So C7 I am pleased you intervened. It was helpful.

Ruck Rover,
If you are referring to my post then it was not about the strategy nut more about the lack of respect for a long term and helpful poster.
If it was nothing to do with my post then apologies for posting this.
Who's upset? I think the issue was about running ph1's alone not about an investment strategy
I'm not sure why people get so upset just because another has a different investment strategy to themselves.
So what if Hasiba bails out and pulls the rip cord? He will walk away with 78% profit in 4 months. How many of us have achieved that in 8 years?
Totally disagree with your need to attack Aimbig, Hasiba has every right to have an opinion and if you bother to read the thread he gave his reasons for having that view.
I too absolutely disagree with that opinion, but we don"t need to make a mornings posts surrounded by two other peoples issues.
Anyway, at least hasiba backs up his opinions, announces his buys, guess what............you never do!!!
hasiba
your23.17 (and a couple of earlier "posts" clearly demonstrate you actual lack of in depth knowledge of the process for a bio to effectively commercialise.
Yet again you insult BermudaShorts who has probably forgotton more about assessing investability of companies such as Scancell than you will ever possess.
The P1 is a prerequisite for attracting investment and data should be easily achieved by Scancell in their present situation. The results are key. Your insults do nothing for you credibility, and the lack of in depth Scientific understanding are there for all to see.
You may have thought you have controlled your emotions regarding investment, but by your inability to respect others it seems to me that many of your posts are actually driven precisely by emotion rather than objectivity.
Having said this, you obviously have strongly held views and that is fine, but others do too and they deserve the same consideration that you seem to expect from everyone else.

Morning all. A little leftfield maybe but nevertheless reasonable to post I think, given part of convo is related to deal-making and connections. Profile of Gillies perhaps well known to most but even so, a reminder of the calibre of the new personnel recruited only recently. Article 4 weeks old but not seen posted here previously.

C7 it is now on the tube for your viewing pleasure...

It seems to have had a little surge in viewers since yesterday.....
It is what it is and was and is ... A presentation of where scancell is at right now lol ... gets a lot into a short time... disappointing Q&A though for which I don't blame Cliff... we will be getting news here especially from Covidity as it is a rapid program but from other parts of the pipeline... I think the appointment of Tear is important for sealing deals.
Cleanerworld, have enjoyed your contribution very much since you joined this BB, FWIW I agree with you. ATVB
but understand hasibas view, for another day!!!
I guess sentiment is weaker from last week, but....""What has changed""??? Nothing but a few self doubts IMHO.
Enjoy your weekend
Morning Guys, a very interesting BB (Yet again) yesterday in particular, prompted largely by myavocies post and still we discuss the Scancell presentation from last Thursday and CH in particular comes up for criticism.
As I posted after the interview with JVT, it is no surprise to me at all that talk of 2nd gen vaccines whilst we are still vaccinating the whole country and convincing many they should be vaccinated will be muted, the government much need people being told a better vaccine will be available but not until Summer 2022. I do believe it is as simple as that.
As far as Thursdays presentation is concerned it is the first such event Scancell have put on that I have not listened too, after reading this BB and speaking to a few that did listen to it I had a pretty good idea of its content and TBH I said prior to the event we wouldn"t get news and expected very little or nothing. It would seem to be the case that many were put out by CH not giving dates to assist traders and LTHs in buying more shares, and there are some (including me) who believe news will still come sooner than some perceive and it must be the first time I havee seen Scancell fall 11% after a contractual presentation. Showed me just how volatile a share we are, and how high the hopes for COVIDITY are.
I haven"t been posting much this year, simply because I have been trading this share very successfully, and I had always said the thing I cannot stand is posters who post according to their trades, manipulating others for self gain so there wasn"t much I felt like adding with a BB full of many good posters and excellent posts.
It has been a great time for us recently with the share price trading between 23-27, and I did sell 5 x 10k between 27-27.7 , as I have said before, and been trading from the lows of 23 and selling at 26 from my trading pot. I took the view recently that we wouldn"t break 28 without firm news and was lucky enough to hit that trading range on many occasions. Whilst losing £2,100 on my P/F for each point lost, my holding now 220k from 250k, it has been great pocketing an extra £500 a week trading this and the truth is it wasn"t until last year that I felt confident enough to trade. It was a shame the tongue twisters changed my narrative, as they do, in this matter.
Traded on Friday when we hit 22.50 with 18.044, already £400 up on the week, but was aware the support at 23 had been broken and when it reached sub 21.50 thought crap I had lost my weeks profit, but we recovered startling well and closed at 22.725 right at the close and I closed the trade £18 up!!!! with the intention of sitting the next few days out.
Trading the Bitcoin too in Geneva, doing well, and with that fabulous news a few weeks ago being my cancer is stable enjoying life as much to the full as COVID allows, will always be housebound, but filling my days with enjoyment, may it last that way. GL to everybody, still very confident of the future but understand hasiba,an
Just breath , its only October that red mile put the money in and the uk government. Redmile know what they are doing , I suspect a partnership / licence has already been done
A little p.s ... the whole great data great deals mantra Cliff is still attached to still irks me as we had it already on SCIB1 and no deal plus the real truth is pharma do not always wait for the great data if they like your company and you would think your science enough they do pre-clinical deals... again BioNTech being an example there... I do hope redmile are indeed actively addressing this we certainly have been making new signings to that ends.
Wow, quite a reveal of views came from that lol... hasbia, you may have 'emotionally detached' although it sounds in an emotional way if the parachute must come out I hope no hard landing here or feelings:) and I do see where you're coming from with your rationale but surely scancell now is a very different beast in different times and with extra commercial heads than it was on failure to commercialise SCIB1..
mia... that is another possibility and thanks never thought of it.
Have to say I go with the BS and co's view surely redmile support scancell to be able to run ph1's it seems clear they made a low ball deal on the MaBs unnecessary by putting in more funding to support the further development and we have a modi1 program that so far seems to be heading into the clinic with no partner....
Behind the scenes we have no idea what is going on all we do know is there is interest from potential partners on all fronts... A telling thing in the presentation Cliff said ...was down the lines of redmile not only bring in extra funds they are very well connected in the bio world ... I take that to mean they can indeed help with sealing deals ...
This has to be the year scancell grow to be more commercial and gain partners as really that is how they pretty much all do it BioNtech being a prime example it was not hard for Pfizer to decide to back their mRNA vaccine as they already had a deal with BioNTech as do quite a number of others...
I take my last remark back. We’re off the starting line. Cobra B already producing the vaccines. P1 next.
My opinion is that P1 will start v soon with or without partner. Cash is more than enough for P1. Likelihood is we’re going to have back-to-back trials P1-2,2-3 and it’s a given that we will need partners. plural. With money and manufacturing capacity.
Gates Foundation is an attractive funder and a big Pharma that’ll be willing to produce the vaccine at-risk.
The race has already started for 2nd gen vaccines and were not first off the starting line. I remain a buyer at this level.
Hasiba - hang on there - I think the point being made is that in BioTech investment generally, a major step for 'gains' to accrue, is often a simple and successful Phase one study ?
And whilst Scancell haven't YET landed a major commercial triumph, (maybe with the exception of the transformational Redmile involvement), the Science, which WILL see us through (IMHO) and the Scientists, are hardly to blame for that aspect and have performed themselves with amazing distinction ?
With respect, I can think of other words for the style you describe as brutal ? Maybe such an 'emphatic' style can be emphatically successful, OR unsuccessful. But GL and ATB
BS.....” Each to their own but it's unfathomable to me why anybody could or would invest in a bio if they didn't believe they could run a simple phase I study ”
Haha...the only reason I invest in any share is to make gains! Do you have another reason being here??
if they don’t meet my expectations of doing things...I no longer want to own part of it...
I trust the science and scientists in this company but they proved over the years that they are commercially inept reflecting in their share price performance ,share holders waiting years to recoup their losses and market vote negatively of their performance until Redmile and Vulpes arrived and you better thank your lucky stars....and I am too grateful for them to continue..
Really we will never be on the same page as I have moved away from any emotional attachment to any share since the crash of 1987... hard lessons learned...resulting in brutal investment style..
You may be right, I may well be emotionally attached to SCLP, I'm more than happy to admit that I would love to see the whole SCLP team and true homegrown UK innovation succeed. Having said that, I have been investing in a wide range of bios for years and I like to think that helps me to remain relatively objective and very much adds to the overall level of knowledge.
I fear that you may well be selling your holdings here as CH clearly stated that Scancell intend to run a phase I study. If they partner now then any deal is going to reflect the fact that SN15 is untested in humans, if they run a quick phase I then the valuation will be adjusted accordingly. Clearly it's in the best interest of shareholders to optimise the valuation - although I can see why short term traders would like a quick deal. Each to their own but it's unfathomable to me why anybody could or would invest in a bio if they didn't believe they could run a simple phase I study and as I say, you can be sure Redmile certainly wouldn't have.
BS...we are approaching this in different ways...
You seem to let your emotional attachment to sclp guide your decision and I am completely detached emotionally from any share I hold...
I don’t trust sclp to go it alone but you do....their history is my guide..and you need to take notice to be a successful investor....
I will be selling all if sclp is allowed to going it alone before partnerships and GL to you and others to keep holding then...
Ray,
Agreed and as SK mentioned previously, it may well be that they are in discussions already and any deal will be conditional on a successful phase I. It's when it comes to scaling up for large randomised studies that SN15 needs and will stand the best chance of success in the hands of a large pharma.
