We now have Wagamama in Belgium. Looking forward to trying it for the first time.
Looks like we are not getting a Jan update this year.. might have to wait until march for FY now.
Superb!
I normally check the vacancies on the web for new openings . I guess that these new places haven't got that far into construction yet?

Topped up a few more I’m sure there’s a trading update due but jdw and Rnk report next week get a feel of people going out spending outlook. For me told misses we’re going out more this year as I’m getting older starting to love it more.
The current market cap is well below NAV. Once the markets turn more bullish (just as soon as interest rates begin to come down - which should happen before this summer) - this will unquestionably move a lot higher. There's no reason why this won't be back above £1 in the next 6-12 months or so.
Limit on at 35p fingers crossed on a bit more weakness when Wall Street opens
This would give me an average cost of 45p just above the CEO’s 42.5p purchase
"The business also benefits from strong asset backing with approximately 50% of our pubs being freehold. In August 2022, our freehold pub estate was valued at £160 million according to a third-party valuation commissioned by the Group"
"Despite the well-documented pressures facing the sector, TRG is confident in our ability to continue to outperform the sector and deliver long-term sustainable growth for our stakeholders:
· We have a strong portfolio of brands consistently out-performing the market
· We have taken decisive action to hedge our utility costs and reduce our interest rate exposure
· We benefit from a strong balance sheet with substantial liquidity"
"The Group has substantial liquidity with £184.2m in cash and cash equivalents, or available facilities at the balance sheet date, and these facilities are committed until at least March 2025"
Ill be top slicing any portfolio profits and topping up here at RTN on any weakness, until the trading update .. Possibly this Friday based on last year?
Today was a good day to top up after a a good strong run.
I have i eat out regular I see people eating out but this stock goes down (may be it's the JP Morgan short on the stock plus others) I find rich people don't spend money like the working class. Like one expert said give a rich person a pound they save it give a poor person a pound they spend it now who helps the economy more? A billionaire investor can say what they like not many people follow what they say I would say you are a good investor so good luck to you in 2023
Billionaire investor says something very positive about the stock market. Sax responds "what's this got to do with us". Go figure. Doh.
What as your post got to do with this stock
Fisher Investments founder and chairman Ken Fisher argued Wall Street is on the verge of a "roaring bull market" akin to 1967's "summer of love," which saw a stunning stock rally. Fisher told "Varney & Co." that inflation is deader than a doornail – markets just don't know it yet.
KEN FISHER: First, to see it [bull market], you have to see that 2022, almost anything you say about it, could be said almost perfectly the same way about 1966 or just slightly differently. Rate hikes, explosive inflation out of nowhere, big regional war, the most divisive era in U.S. politics. You could go to recession expectations, the anticipation of capitulation, and a bear market that was the same magnitude, started almost the same day in January, and almost the same day in October - the fourth quarter rally almost exactly the same size, a strong start to 1967, like we're having now. And, in reality from all that, 1967 is the year when inflation peaks and falls, interest rates plateau, we don’t get the recession because widely anticipated recessions are met by mitigation and anticipation. It's the most parallel period in modern history.
"I believe inflation is dead. It's deader than a doornail, it just doesn’t know it. The fact is inflation is a process, input costs lead to producer prices which lead to consumer prices. If you look at input costs like commodities, or you look at processing costs like freight costs, all these on average are down to where they were more than a year ago, or lower"

Your guess is as good as mine
Any idea when is the next trading update?
As the airports get busier heading into peak season, so the concessions side of the business should really pick up. From the last trading update, the business has a "strong balance sheet" and they are confident stakeholders will see a healthy long term return. I don't think there's any doubt this will be over £1 again in the not too distant future.
Tipped in Sun Times yesterday.
Currently showing up 6% on AJBell .. what do you know!
Excellent progress recently .
I am as per subject. This feels like a stonking stock. Massively undervalued. Yet I can’t see what’s going to x3 x4 it soon. Guess it’s a takeover etc?
I think housing stocks will suffer as sales stall : I’m referring to big housebuilders who are already reviewing staffing. This doesn’t bode well as construction creates big spillover spend and movement of £££. But let’s see people have been calling time on the housing market since early 90’s.
In a new bull market, you tend to see things like housing, airline, copper, and industrial stocks lead the rally. Meanwhile, energy, utility, and healthcare stocks tend to lag.
That’s exactly what we’re seeing today.
Year-to-date, industrial stocks are up 5%. Housing stocks are up 10%. Copper stocks jumped 16%, and airline stocks are up a whopping 18%. Meanwhile, energy stocks are up less than 3%. Utility stocks have risen less than 2%, and healthcare stocks have gone nowhere.

Spades Q4 will be interesting : I think Waga may have had a little hit from train / tube strikes etc but pubs will have done well; airports knock out. Market might get spooked on Waga -but- I think all the energy and interest rate hedging will be providing huge support. There is all a high chance I’ve got it wrong on Waga and it did do well for in London I never saw an empty one and from last investor call they trade better outside of London. Hoping so rent renegotiations help too.
The airlines continue to bounce back hard. All airline stocks are up and show no sign of slowing down. RTN sells a lot of food and snacks at the airports - it's only a matter of time before the airline boom rubs off on RTN and the shares begin to boom.
The boots on the street investors were ahead of the curve on this one. flushing the mainstream doom narrative away down the toilet. Its sad time we live in when you can only ever believe what's in front of your own eyes, other people have nefarious agendas.
