The share price has been under a bit of downward pressure the last three trading days, I have been adding throughout, and today at 12.15 the buy was at 65p and despite numerous attempts I could not buy any, not even one share, the sell was at 62p and MM would take all my shares @62.35p, 4 minutes later sell at 65.5p. At the moment I can sell at a better price than I can buy For, it is a dodgy game sometimes.
Hi Mary,
Can I pick your brains please?
To trim and add is there an optimal starting size in your opinion ?
if I'm looking at £5k chunks, then 5% swings gives me £250 each way... but are we talking months between each end of the pendulum and ummmm .... possible to get to net sum zero.
Also is there a ticker you can suggest I look at to demonstrate the strategy
🙏🏼

Anyone know the restrictions on paying dividends?
They refer to "expect to restart very soon" and " as soon as circumstances allow"
I can't find what these circumstances are.
I've seen restrictions on debt covenants referring to 3 x debt to ebitda and 3 x ebitda to interest payments.
Prize asset UK going going gone.
Great entry 👌
Rank announce the possible closure of another one of their bingo sites Mecca Stoke. This comes on the back of the announcement last month of the possibility of their Mecca site in Dundee closing. Perhaps they are relying too much on what the white paper for slot machines will bring. I fear more of their bingo sites will follow
Apart from all the points you said
There are mostly buy trades going through and a lot of off market buying including 9million bought
The price does not move
I just told get it
I agree. Market cap under £350m is too low. Deserves to be priced higher, especially after an extremely encouraging half-year report. Around this time last year there were director buys at over 90p.
Its really odd
Another 8m buy on the way imo
Adding whatever the level. Fill the drawer.
Don't get suckered in,
Can see this heading back to the low 60's which is my re-entry point!
Lombard Odier Asset Management (Europe) Limited
Super upped to 24 million shares is a great sign for a great year ahead.
Nice to seew e were right
One to add for a fll recovery in 2024 - surprised that the £4,000,000 x 2 share purchases have not been picked up by others/ Still adding at these levels.
Are we expecting an rns today to show the reason for the large purchases?
Yes noticed that after 1630 11m volume compared to the usual 20k to 100k shares.
On open market
This will really move tomo
Alot of interest today and the only way is upwards I think? Well I added a few today so I would say that or at least believe my own views.
Would do me fine.
real recovery play
Rank Group PLC, up 3.0% at 72.50p, 12-month range 60.40p-107.60p. The gambling company reports its results for the six months ended December 31. It reports revenue of GBP362.6 million up from GBP338.9 million a year earlier. Rank swings to a pretax profit of GBP10.4 million from a loss of GBP109.1 million. Looking ahead, Rank expects the challenging economic environment to remain, however it remains "positive about the future" and expects like-for-like operating profit for the year to be in line with company expectations. "The board has not proposed an interim dividend but expects to recommence dividend payments as soon as circumstances permit," it adds.
Delivering well on matrixes. Adding on any weakness as surely the markets realise the quality of this company.
Continued growth compounding the recovery already underway, increasing visits and profit improving across all venues, debt down, cash balances increasing, wage growth absorbed, LFL continuing to improve, nothing in the rns of concern.
Dividend, was hoping for definitive news as to when but as a large shareholder remain content that they are containing to invest in the growth of the business.
Someone will take notice and make an approach for this icon.
Market surely will rerate this, so adding on weakness while it remains here as it should be heading be £1+++ when dividend resumes.
Ripe for a bid, this keeps me invested.
Yes, considering the economic shutdown situation a couple of years ago, things have improved for Rank. Can't see any downside now and look forward to the market pricing in a recovery in general at some point. Just about to watch the webcast, see if it can inspire me to go 'overweight' in my SIPP.
