It could be a case of wireline and then a new competent person report, to qualify the situation.
Absolutely, they will know by now what they have, all I'm saying is I believe the 10 days in the RNS is the full 10 days in the plan the have after TD not just Wireline
I think wireline will be done today and possibly RNS tomorrow. unless they just wait it out till the end of the week
Great point Bronzy, the process of WL and then casing says there's hydrocarbons lurking in the hole.
Timster, that graph shows WL to take 4 days and then casing ect. If WL only takes 4 days and was no good then we would have to be informed straight away. Fact we have passed and still proceeding onto logging date shows this is all still to play for. Suspense is killing us all but trust your on research this could be a great RNS.
Don’t know what they’d make of it, but I’d be pissed off I didn’t put more in lol.
If we have more oil than horseshoe, I wonder what the markets will make of that?
Yesterday despite a few late reported sells, a few disguised as buys lol. Let’s hope the appetite remains towards Friday. Like most others I’m here for the news, and as someone posted this morning, it’ll have to be carefully worded across various companies to maximise potential. I suspect they won’t be able to keep a lid on something so big, so am watching carefully for price movement.
are pleased....
But...
When you read through the presentation pre drill, you can see why there is reason to be optimistic here.
Same oil bearing formation only 4 k from horseshoe. Torok also has uncounted potential. Can’t wait for the RNS
I think the point is that they 100% definitely know already whether this is a hit or not. The remaining days are likely just for the casing/ tubing.
Something I have not encountered on an oil play before, is it normal to engage with local geologists etc outside the company? There does seem to be suggestions (if you believe anything on twitter) that this is fairly standard.
Just curious.
Must admit I can't wait for the results.
We are in the middle of the oil capital of Alaska.
Thank God Bandy isn't looking for it!!!
They said 10 days because the drilling schedule has always been planned for 10 days to wireline, case and run tubing after TD!! http://www.rns-pdf.londonstockexchange.com/rns/9963R_1-2019-3-6.pdf
They said 10 days for a reason! My guess there is lots of oil to analyse as we have hit, it’s going to be a lengthy RNS with lots of figures and they have the week end to all write a similar RNS and publish on the Monday. At this stage no news is good news if still testing imo. Otherwise they would of warped up and gone home.
Have to agree. I think it will take longer for them to deliberate on what actually goes into the RNS than the wire logging itself. Everything rests on the next two RNS that are released to the market. I’m under no illusion that several majors are with our consortium studying the data and looking at any future collaborations or buy out bids!
News must be very close...I'm sure they already have a very good idea which way this will fall....all of the companies involved will have to collaborate their RNS timings....its sooooooo price sensitive...literally +100's of % On the wording of the RNS....got a feeling it's going to be a great few weeks for RMP and the other's involved.
Tight ship !
wander how it is going.??must be into their 7th day now.
That would value RMP at 85p-95p
Or what? And a serious multi bagger if as big as expected
66.58 brent crude
So 125mmbo went for $450m on a 500mmbo field that grew to 1.2bn barrels. Our % of winx if it comes in at 400mmbo is 126mmbo and poo is now $67. Initially both fields were expected to be 400mmbo. We could possible get $5/b for our stake. Hope it’s big. Dyor etc.
The North Slope find comes less than six months after Caelus Energy and private-equity giant Apollo Global Management announced a massive Alaska oil discovery in the waters of Smith Bay.
As a reward and a sweetner to enjoy over the weekend. Just hope they have nailed it and it is an extension of horseshoe having all these similar characteristics
www.repsol.comprensa@repsol.comPrior to drilling Horseshoe, Repsol as operator drilled 13 exploration and appraisal wells on the North Slope, which led to multiple reservoir discoveries currently included in the Pikka Unit. The Horseshoe discovery extends the Nanushuk play more than 20 miles south of the existing discoveries achieved by Repsol and Armstrong in the same interval within the Pikka Unit during 2014 and 2015, where permitting for development activities areunderway.A significant percentage of the above noted resourcesare expected tobe reclassified as proven andprobablereservesupon sanctioning of the Nanushuk Development Project.Preliminary development concepts for Pikka anticipate first production there from 2021, with a potential rate approaching 120,000 barrels of oil per day. The Horseshoe-1 discovery well was drilled to a total depth of 6,000 ft. (1,828 meters) and encountered more than 150 ft. of net oil pay in several reservoir zones in the Nanushuk section. The Horseshoe-1Asidetrack was drilled to a total depth of 8,215 ft. and encountered more than 100 ft. of net oil pay in the Nanushuk interval as wel
Things looking good. Exciting times. Best of Luck everyone. RNS by Fri you reckon or some initial results before then?
