peaky if you need a job then try it..... you as many others will not last for the money paid...
anger if you run your own business then fair enough... but I doubt that you do..... because if you ran it with the attitude, you have and the financial knowledge that you quote then I think you would be PAYE. just as us ... so watch out as big brother is coming....
Come on lads, they are asking for more money to deliver letters with no qualifications...
Well apart from a driving license.
I think they are lucky with the money they get, but think the strikes have sealed the fate of many....
Anger ask the posties who got the job done!!!!!! and the gaffers was arsed because they want more...... behave
this is someone who is on here with an average of 40 posts per day.. sometimes replying in an instant. that works for a living, has a fantastic portfolio(he says) that he must look at 50 times a day in the market volatility at present. and has the audacity to try and call out lazy posties!!! AMAZING....
anger so you work and use your smartphone all day???? never mind lazy fkn posties!!!! pot and kettle comes to mind
goodnight and good luck to all investors and employees of the royal mail group plc.....
have a laugh and smile...it's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all..... do do do
They likely added to their short positions due to the weekend action, when the FTSE was down 80 points, hoping to force it down on opening which they did, because it opened around 180 on Monday morning.
Shorting just artificially increases the available float, in the hope more sellers and corresponding buyers offering a lower bid come to market, forcing the price down.
@Smix
It has nothing to do with the shorts, the price will always go up if the sold value and volume outweighs the corresponding bought value, it's simple supply and demand.
For every sale there is a corresponding buyer, and thus if the buy volume is higher than the sold volume it means a lot more sellers were in the market and the corresponding price will always drop during the course of the day.
The reason shorts increased today, is because there was probably less actual float available on the order book, so they created some artificially hoping to entice buyers at the bid price shorted in the hope of driving the price down.
Look at another stock price that went up today that has zero shorts, and the told sold volume and value will be higher than the bought value and volume.
It's just supply and demand and double entry.

anger at his best...
great laugh guys/posties
simx its difficult to understand the complexities. Your analysis in real time was interesting and spotted that circumstance with lots more sales and a rising SP. Of course, someone or more likely an automated process will push the sales through. It could be extremely helpful to know when someone is opening/closing a short position.
Following the big boys would work out, I guess.
As I said last week I don't think we will get a definitive DK decision, maybe an interim message delaying asking for OFCOM views.
ispy he doesn't work.... he has an isa that's doing well against current market volatility and more money spare than us posties ever dream of...... pmsl he is a big time charlie that got in post pandemic and now absorbing his losses with fear ,insult and hoping for a magic wand from DK.. i think the man is in need of some help.... to be fair he isn't going to get any on here
@ Anger.
Sorry.
I should've put LOL.
It was a joke.
@ Anger.
Do you have a job?
I remember fairly recently that you posted something along the lines of you having to change your t's and c's. By agreement, if i remember correctly.
I just wondered if you are now working nights.
It's the only time that you do not post.
anger i don't do quavers... i now do aldi quivers..... the sort that leave you shaking in ya boots...pmsl
dynamo i agree.... who do you think are the intelligent ones? please don't tell me to stop... it's more fun than seeing a royal mail manager walking around clueless and asking for help saying we are all in it together.....whilst he comes in does fk all and on 45k a year waiting for his attendance bonus
Anyhoo, I see that Citadel (Europe and LLP) have come up as increasing their positions as of the 3rd.
So, that's 3.59% across 4 institutions.
Wolves , you are wasting your time posting on here , whilst a couple constantly spout the same old , over and over again 24/7 . It is literally their life , posting on here. Best to just wind them up and let them go off, it's much more fun watching them spout tosslo over their own self importance .
anger you quote"Teslo - You’re probably right, but this board once has some very useful information on it.
Take a look at the content before and since the CWU announced their strikes. It’s like wading through s*it to find something useful." all i will say is stop posting and then you do not have to wade as most of it is what you spout my dear little man..
to be fair anger is probably of the facebook/tiktok era... loves it when he sees the likes to his posts......and when no likes goes for the insults....
"we can get the mediation team involved, we use this process all the time with RM and CWU.
You two need to make up!”
Just been trawling through all the BS, might be not so bad an idea. Probably end up worse than CWU and RMG though lol
well dynamo... i could not have stated the facts any better than you just have.....as a bin dipping ****roach of a posty. i salute you....
Anger still shooting ****e. With every day that passes you make yourself look a bigger clueless clown on here. As each post spills out , it shows how little you know about posties. As has been pointed out before , many are well educated , from all backgrounds, worked at all levels , in many different industries. Many are fairly well off, many have stepped away from the rat race, after earning very good wages. Then add on top alot of ex forces , yet you seem to think they are all thick , and poor and need to worry about their jobs.
By now you said the workforce would be clambering to get back to work. Not happened.
Many on here gave you the facts over the last year but you didn't listen to any of them. Every time you knew best and Simon Thompson was the best thing since sliced bread.
Now your only comeback is posties are all lazy , are thick and are panicking about losing jobs , or getting really angry.
Keep posting 24/7 because you literally don't have a clue.
Yo
@ AngerSharkz
"That’s a very noble suggestion….but given there are clearly strong opinions here and I don’t have the ability to appease people when I think they’re wrong, I don’t think there’s much chance of that happening"
we can get the mediation team involved, we use this process all the time with RM and CWU.
You two need to make up!
Anger, it's already happening. This monomania is not doing you any good, anyone investing here after a few good quarters, with the history of its UK business has learned a painful and expensive lesson.
