feline thank you.... speak as you find is my motto.... not one for the pc brigade
Charlie I agree with sickness stat.... ill leave that to I spy to explain that...… I am an employee and deplore the sickness charade..... cwu want it rico doesn't.... me never used it.... maybe one day I might. but not 4 times a yaer
red... there will be a token strike by the 90% that voted for it... one day only … then the idiots will come back and deliver the mail next day as usual for what???? I think royal mail are a lot cleverer than what some might think...………. otherwise they would have done mediation.... and before I spy gets involved lets just do our job what we paid to do.... I have just finished my duty.... busy Wednesday. extra 45 mins to complete...….no worries I go paid overtime... not like some that finished hour early yesterday then would not go 15 mins over today to complete...… you cannot make it up....
Wolves, 8% letter decline is slight? Transformation costs every year which ain't improving productivity, a sicknesd bill over £100 million every year which for a 2.2 bn company is some stat. Nov 21 is D-Day for Dodgy Rico. He's had 15 months in the job, is it too big for him? I think it is.
Wolves. The fact that there has been plenty of grandstanding previously but few strikes would seem to indicate that the militant element is not in control and the more enlightened such as yourself are not intimidated. I'm sure it will be a storm in a tea cup. One benefit is that Rico now has the perfect excuse to stamp his authority where it's needed. Keep up the good work we need people of intelligence in the RMG of the future.
nuri… been there 5 yrs.... I can see what needs doing as someone there that's been there 30+ is stuck in ways..... I for one will not strike because we had a deal.... that was to decrease hours with productivity gains ie self funded.... this has not happened. and I for one do not blame the company on this...…. I see things from both sides...….pity cwu do not
Wolves. You must remember that Nuri is a fair weather sailor. As soon the conditions become a little choppy. He goes completely off course flaps his arms around and generally gets in the way.
If you hadn't you should have guessed I'm a Yachtmaster. I have had my charts out and checked the incoming weather and anticipated these gusts. No problem might take us a little longer to make Port but there will be plenty of breaks in the cloud ahead and...... Etc
Wolveposty - of course not - I agree. But we'll see how many more vote in favour as against. On balance, the terms and conditions at royal mail are much better than most places. I hope management keep pursuing the turnaround - or there will be no option but mass redundancies - of that I am convinced! The company makes virtually no money and without changes to how it operates, it will need to take much more drastic action. The fact that your union is even asking employees to strike is just the daftest thing I have seen in a while!
How predictable all I had to do was whistle and the right Charlie comes out of his box. Nice for Fake to have some company. I wonder how they would be in the real World. Fake is a nuisance and boring but in all honesty easy to ignore he's a pain but quite harmless. Charlie is more in the Arsenal17 mold quite obnoxious. He will go back in his box once these bumps in the road are repaired.
nuri… please all us rmg employees are not the same militant that you say...
Charlie you and fakeland must be 2 of a kind...…….TWINS . letters may be slightly declning…. parcels are up because royal mail are a trusted delivery company.... Hermes and the likes will employ any one that can drive regardless of tax insurance, and criminal record. fedex increased charges today almost 6%. IA. will not happen.... I believe a one day strike will go ahead if ballot returns in cwu favour…. so what? mail be one day late. parcel one day late. look at competitors, if your not in to receive it you get it next week because you have nowhere to get it from...
Charlie - the last update is that they are on track according to the goals they set out. The Unions need to wind their neck in and get with the real world. Royal Mail workers paid the same as me and I can tell you my productivity (revenue per annum vs. cost of employment) is a hell of a lot better than RMG employees and growing. Certainly their processes and systems are not anywhere near as good as competitors and their communication with parcel recipients and delivery time slots nothing like competitors.... overpaid - and I mean overpaid - they should work with some competitors to see their terms and conditions which are no where near as good.
IA, accelerating letter decline, anaemic parcel growth, lousy productivity and unproven management. Gulp! Rather you than me.
