Anger that’s fair enough but if you had have listened to your own advice you would have been better off
So after a full twelve year's of Tory Government's we have become a 'Third world economy?' And most of you Muppets voted time and again, for these economically illiterate Tory Gob****es?
@Casper, not at all.
I saw the same in 2018-20 people on here predicted the trading ranges and drop's almost perfectly, but rarely if ever traded them.
Then, the same said people missed out on the upward move when the trend eventually changed.
It's crazy to think someone like me, who does not work for Royal Mail and has no working history with company, and it not privy to the inner workings of the company, can buy and sell more profitably than those with said knowledge.
Teslo I’m with you mate bought another tranche and have averaged down to late 1.90s but will hang on in there as will look different in the long term good luck don’t the whingers get to you as we will be here long term they won’t !
Looks like Teslo thinks his opinion is the only one that counts. They have a name for this type of person.
When I put 80 pound in stamp duty that was me using 1 pound a share for RM which is roughly the historic lows you were talking about
Then short it @Casper if that's what you believe based on your analysis.
All I see in these boards is people who pluck figures out of their ass where they think the price is heading, not just here but these forums of are full of broken watches.
People who pick a price level, and when it hit's they think they're Warren Buffett, but when you read there post histories and look at what they're invested in or have been invested in, it tends to tell a completely different story.
Very rarely though do they have the convictions of their beliefs to put their money where their mouth is.
@Falkland used to have a name for these types MIRAGE TRADERS I think it is.
Anger your buying and selling fees would cost you 20 pounds with the Halifax and you only pay half a per cent on stamp duty when you buy let’s say you have 16000 shares that would cost you 80pounds in stamp duty so that’s 100 pounds you have had to lay out but the share price has just dropped 60 p since you said it would hit historic lows that’s 960 pounds drop in your share holding . So that is why you should have sold when you said it would reach historic lows
Think this will be bigger than 10/15 per cent.
@Casper look at the market as a whole, there will be 5-10 % drops across the board today.
Big drop coming. Time to sell up.
@Anger I actually locked everything now, my current average is now around £2,
But at this stage the price can drop to 0 now and my carrying loss will not be any larger than it currently is.
My real cost average though is 0 also, so it's all good.
I will unwind it all in due course, but the market, especially the FTSE is on the precipice at the moment.
GLA.
I shorted on open as well, so let's see how this plays out.
182.49 paid.
AngerS thats my understanding as well and it sounded like TP had to explain himself to the exec. Bizzare situation IMO but points to the CWU putting themselves in a very awkward position. It sounds like they are very keen to now resolve internally rather than go to ACAS. I wonder if we will see a response from ST on his fact checking of last nights session.
Looks like another day of market volatility with IMF and others criticising the mini budget.
I fully expect the pre-covid levels of 2020 to be tested, especially with the profit warning that will inevitably drop in November.
150-160 and there is a gap all the way down to 118.
I may well short as a hedge in the short-term.
GLA.
There will be carnage across a lot of sectors in the near future.
Will probably pick up a few more today.
I need a cuppa, or at least need to reread what I am typing, but sure you got the gist
AngerS did I misunderstand what the Dave W say about the Terry P meetings with Vesa? I know they showed an email showing the business had arranged the meeting but did he then go on to say the he, The CWU exec and senoir officers accept Terrys explanation about the meetings? It sounded to me that they didnt really know much about the meetings he had or have I misinterpreted that.
I also dont think I picked uo a definitive answer to whether the CWU would go to ACAS did you?
Royal Mail will in all likelihood go to court as ACAS haven't been used yet.
They will probably win and Royal Mail may well be able to drag this out until after Christmas pressure.
The strike days aren't set in stone yet !
Not that low but short selling is going to be rampant
Certainly £1.60 level
can see this heading sub £1
Royal Mail workers are so far from reality. Of course we could survive quite well if royal mail didnt exist. There are so many companies that could fill the gap.
19 MORE days. That's a lot of money going to be saved from paying wages. R.M. can increase the dividend with that.
Im getting settled down for some days off at this busy time of year. Perfect time for striking in this business. Im an engineer with 30 years in. I will find some employment elsewhere after this. Im sure postmen at d.o's will aswell. As for my shares not so sure. Made some money may lose some. Aint been buying many lately. Good luck all.
