I take it there’s not a sniff of what’s actually going on. I’ve kinda switched off from this but is there a deadline for this to be completed by ...anyone know ? What happened to Aberdeenman...is he still around...twitter maybe ?
Now the election is out of the way...pro coal and business man in charge. This will be a big business in the country and the government support will help get things done which means bigger pounds for us! Roll on the news.....
We have one less thing to worry about. David Hibbs was appointed in Jan as COO of La Luna and he's still there on LinkedIn, presumably on a good salary. One wonders what he does. I presume Sloane have financed things so far but much longer?
It's the frustration of having zero communication with the company
Now that the election is out of the way , lets hope this deal can conclude shortly . God i need some luck . bloodbath on other shares . LOL
Thankfully the politics haven't prevented a deal going through! This is a drag...
Breathe
And breath......
Looks like we got the result we wanted with Duque (Conservative) gaining more than 50% of the vote. Fingers crossed this puts RLH back in play!!
If we are waiting on the result for a listing then 9pm GMT is the time poles close. Result shortly after. Good luck, I need it.
If the left wins it will be a negative for us but if the right wins then they are pro coal. Good info on election today on the internet. The left wants to ease the country off coal but will that effect us right now? It’s a big investment with lots of jobs attached so maybe we get the green light and they will ease out others less productive, older more damaging mines. Time will tell.....I never considered our re list might come down to an election.
The last significant info re. La Luna is some sort of environmental report done in January. Anyway, we're all in the dark so let's see what Sunday brings. John May is here: http://www.city-westminster.com/page.php?5
...and nobody seems to answer the rlh office number any longer either. Are they in South America or have they closed the office down!?
So with the election results on Sunday, the potential of a deal is still a while away. Surely they were waiting for the results of these elections before continuing negotiations ...the wait goes on and on :-(
Petro's policies are to get rid of oil and coal exports, and not renew any existing licenses. I can't see anyone, even the mysterious Capital Resources Inc investing $20m in that climate. Hence the reason we've had no news imo. As for the election who knows? There was another candidate who had 24% and he recommends blank votes! One pole shows Petro just 5.5 points behind. Logically the right wing candidate should win but when has logic applied to elections around the world lately?
The conservative right wing DUQUE got 39% in first round , to Petro 25% . So that should be a good omen if this is a serious decision for RLH . Ace do you think this has a bearing on the deal and why ?
It doesn't matter what's been done, if the left wing guy wins on Sunday that will be the end of coal investment in Colombia.
There must be something to say about the progress or lack of. Come on RLH say something....
Aberdeenman believes it will be this month. No official news from the company yet though.
any idea whether this will re-list". and thought on SP....:)
There's a run-off election on 17th. One of the candidates is against most coal development, but polls suggest the right wing guy will win. We all know how good polls are! Maybe they're waiting for that now that it's so close - who knows?
I think a more pertinent questions is "any idea whether this will re-list".
Any rationale idea of what the sp will move to upon a relist.
Any update from your side Aberdeenman?
Called them twice today, no answer I'm afraid. I wonder if they are in South America finalising the deal or if they've packed up and left the office!
